I don't understand the bashing of man city. They are a breath of fresh air compared to when the rags or arsenal won it every season.

 

Yes they haven't got as many fans as dmbs but who has. they are glory hunting cockwombles.

 

I hope we see a few more New winners in years to come and I still hold hope that one day it may just be us

I thought it was great when a "small London club" outperformed Man Utd and Liverpool on less money and only 38,000 gates, magnificent work by Wenger.

All City have done is thrown more money at it than everyone and else and inevitably won the league.Even a mediocre manager like Kenny Dalglish can win the league if he throws more money at it than everyone else

Apart from Leicester isn’t it generally the case that the top spenders win the league? Or at least one from the top 3 or 4

 

That’s transfer fees and wages combined

Ha. They've spent about the same as Man Utd. Especially when you take wages into account. City wouldn't pay Sanchez' eye watering demands for example. But won the league at a canter.

 

There is a correlation in the modern game between spending and league position. You just have to accept that. Every so often a club disrupts that ala Leicester but it isn't the norm. That might not happen again in any of our lifetimes.

 

Arsenal pretending to be the "poor relations" is also hilarious, when they have the most expensive season tickets in the country...

I know the popular thing is to try and downplay what successful people or teams have done. But they've been far and away the best English side this season.

 

The trick to cementing their place as one of the best is to keep it up for a few seasons and do better in the champions league.

 

As for arsenal they are closer in points to west Brom than they are to city.

Nothing at all. It was good as it meant manure couldn't win it. My point being was that only 2 teams could win it as opposed to 3 or 4 now
