Big E Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 The thing is they win every week. Playing good or bad. The run they are on is the best I've ever seen from memory. Pep is a genius You would say that being a manc ???? Quote

Pep is a genius So far, wheels are coming off in the next four months though. I like Guardiola though, and can see him making them even better if he improves that defence. Quote
bolty58 Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Keep hear folk saying how City are the best team in Europe, great to watch, going to win everythinng blah blah blah. Last three times I've seen em on telly they've been distinctly average, and I think the wheels might come off soon, although I think the league's in the bag. Their win away at Napoli tells me otherwise. The quad seems far fetched but I can see them winning a trio of trophies. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 I wish we were just below average if City are average Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Another one for no VAR. Bag of shite. Quote
gonzo Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 If VAR comes in proper I'm offskis. The games dead. As for city, they haven't re invented the wheel. Great team and will sweep the board, but they're no better than 90's united and wouldn't beat Jose's Chelsea with drogba and co imo. Quote
Zico Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 despite everything going on at City, still don't think Raheem Steling is that good, but this new regime clearly works for him - some nice finishes but still seems dead clumsy and all that be interesting to see if they can match the likes of Barcelona and PSG in the CL, if they can, they might win it, but reckon they'd have to beat one of those two Quote
Casino Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 good point you make never got sterling, always thought him shit and i reckon he will still be shit at higher levels the fact he makes a very good living here is one example why we arent ever going to be very good english football has long been exciting but defensively, a bit bob Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Had a player got Sterling's record in Spain folk would be wanking themselves silly over how good he is. Not sure why folk have never taken to Sterling he's no shitter for England than the rest of them. And his record for citeh is among the best in the country Quote

Alf Hartigan Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 I wish we were just below average if City are average They were second best at Newcastle and second best against Bristol City for most of the game, can't remember who the other one was. Obviously, they've had some stunning performances too, and look better against the better teams. They're clearly a good team, but not at the level some of their fans think they are. Yet. Quote

Pablo Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Some of you are riddled with bitterness about city.... Quote
bolty58 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Seems that way Pablo. I don't get it. I suppose the argument will be settled at the end of the season. If they have the 3 trophies I expect them to win, they're an exceptional side. If they were to lift all four that settles all arguments for a long time to come. That would be beyond exceptional. They’ve bought their success and many of their fans are getting as bad as them from the other side of the City Being surrounded by blues I understand the bitterness completely I have to say though, I think this team is as good as the Chelsea and Utd teams that Gonch mentions. And better to watch for that matter. They’re incredible. Blue cunts Quote
bolty58 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Madine, Man City, Man United. Picking up on a trend here. Suppose you dislike Mansfield, Macclesfield and Marseille too? It is to be hoped that you love your mother. Quote

Blue cunts Agree with this and if city can keep it all together with the manager it could be the begining of an era that could challenge what Ferguson did. Sad really a state run football club who’ve all but sold their soul but I suppose who can blame them given we were pissing all over them when we had the likes of Anelka and they couldn’t get 40k through the gates. I’m sure the current success will further deplete our support base as Bolton kids grow up as city fans after we’ve lost many to united over the last 25 years. bolty58 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 No, cos I call her Mam I thought you'd have said "of course I do" so I could have responded "There's hope for you yet". I hope she starches your satin jocks. Quote

The amount of money in the game and the way the CL has become like a cartel surely everyone bar Leicester has bought their success? Edited January 12, 2018 by Duck Egg Quote
