jules_darby
Him and Matt Taylor, both essentially crap but eternally employed by teams in the top 2 divisions. Fair play to them, pulling in the dollars but there are too many of them for the sake of English football. Gary O'Neill, Darron Gibson, Joey Barton, Darren Bent, the list is endless................................................Matt Taylor "essentially crap"?! Be-fucking-have! He was very good for us. A flying winger he may not be, but a hard working midfielder with an excellent left foot he was. And we missed him when he left

Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted December 13, 2014 Site Supporter Share Posted December 13, 2014 I wasn't a big Taylor fan but wasn't a Petrov fan at all. That said, you don't realise what you've got until it's gone at times - Taylor falls in to that category, wish we had him now
Moderators Zico Posted December 14, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 14, 2014 Taylor was very good but was right time to let him go when we did; sadly Petrov never really did it for us
tomski
I always thought Petrov was better than the players round him. His crosses were superb, just the players around him weren't good enough

Moderators Zico Posted December 14, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 14, 2014 I don't see why it was the right time to let him go at all He was piling on the timber, blowing out his arse a lot and was generally being busy without doing much May have been as a result of glandular fever, but he wasn't as good as he'd previously been so 1.5m to a championship club was good business

Great business
Traf
I reckon Andrews could put a bit of fizz into our play, whilst settling things down at the same time. He's an effervescent guy, apparently.

jules_darby
The relegation far from hinged on what Petrov brought to the teamMaybe so But he was wank and we got relegated We went down by the slimmest of margins That could easily have been a single Matt Taylor delivery...or tackle from tracking back. Something Martin didn't bother with We will never know. But great business?? Nah
gonzo
Petrov,Sordell,N'gog,Knight.... Just a few names that are synonymous with our downfall. Good lord. If we had only kept the likes of Taylor and Nolan.
