SalfordOriginal
Didn't they try and sign the lad from Brentford for £9m but Burnley nipped in? Money to burn??
Site Supporter HomerJay Posted January 8, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted January 8, 2016 Can't see clough signing for any kind of pay rise at Bristol city in all fairness
Site Supporter only1swanny Posted January 8, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted January 8, 2016 I can see why he would need persuading. Not sure a modest wage rise would tempt him either. Not even competing there. Saying that, if he leaves and keeps us in business we should name a stand after him. Maybe one of the physio's beds could be named after Mark Davies too. Been at the club years. Bolton fan.. We're in the shite and he probably feels he's letting people down. End of day though if he helps keep the club going it means his coming through has worked
Guest Blixa
Can't see clough signing for any kind of pay rise at Bristol city in all fairness I reckon if that money is the difference between staying in business and going under, the board will drag Clough kicking and screaming there. Unfortunately for them, I reckon his dad will step in, have a word and tell him to sit tight.
Dan.m
Does Clough ultimately have the final say on whether he goes?

snowball
If he goes for £2m with sell on to anyone apart from Wiggin it will be a good move for us. Very sad but true
BOWTUN BAKED
Maybe if the new trust is in place, they will agree prices with the clu, so there will be no problems. Then we can all sing kumbaya My friend/work associate is the chairman of a clubs supporters association, each year he has a meeting with the Chairman who points out that years ticket pricing policy. They discuss the reasons behind the decisions, he gives his agreements & concerns but ultimately the price doesn't get changed. It does however mean he can communicate to the rest of the support base why those decisions are made & can placate people's concerns. I pay less per game on my season ticket than paying on the gate for terracing at theirs at Conference level. Do not expect any cheaper season tickets in league 1 than we are currently paying. A week on Monday I'm spending another day with him to discuss insolvency & administration with him as they have been through it years ago. Same day as we're due to be in court. Let's hope it's sorted before then!
BWFC_LOVE
They were throwing round £9m bids all summer; problem being no players would go there. I know Gayle and Gray both rejected moves. Could be the same problem here. Not expecting anything north £3/4m obviously.
gonzo
He could relegate us at Bristol in march.

Either in footballing terms or location for a young lad from Manchester who is close to his family! The only way would be if they through daft money at his wages
Sweep
The club can fuck off I'm only interested if every man jack of the current board have fucked off. Otherwise I'm out. To be fair, you've already said that you're out if we don't get at least £4M for Clough.......and I don't think we're going to be getting that

Leyther_Matt
@MarcIles Offer of £3m from Bristol City for Zach Clough accepted by #bwfc but lad is by no means certain to go. Real quandary for club and player.

Leyther_Matt
Much more than I expected. Got to make sure there's a decent sell on clause. Here's hoping it sparks a bit of a bidding war though, especially if it drags on long enough for Wolves to bid daft money from the Afobe proceeds. Sweep
£3M is a good bid. I'd have thought he would want a bigger/better club than Bristol City though
