loads of contract are like this. simple monthly paid salaries do not exist in football.

So, on the face of it, we've got a player who's on around £18k per week, who costs us a further £100k when he plays more than 22 games in a season (that's mid-December if he's ever present), who will cost us a further £400,000 when he's finished (not) playing for us.  And there may or may not be bonuses on top of that.

If they hadn't bought us it would have ended in tears last week....this way we get a stay of execution, it could well all turn to dogshit again in 12 months though, I don't doubt that

I still can't work out why SS have bought us. Ultimately if we can get back in the prem it all makes sense - they can run the club well & syphon off a fortune for themselves & everyone is happy.

 

But that's going to be a struggle & I agree with a few on here & think we'll go backwards before we go forwards again.
