If we are comparing pure goalscoring ability then Charlton, Greaves, Lineker and Shearer were better than Rooney.

He is a better all rounder than those four though.

Agree, but will break all their scoring records, and for United, brilliant player.

Yes he has been lucky with injuries and started very young so he will eclipse all records for certain.

True mate, beast of a player.

Before all the nonsense about him leaving Sterling was unplayable at times.

Had anyone else in the liverpool side been near his level when they played us they'd have won for sure.

He got behind our defence time after time with little effort, just no support from the rest of them.

He's a massive upgrade for citeh ahead of Navas.

Aguero, silva and Sterling are a formidable trio at any side.

Had he been leaving a similar expectations team such as spurs no bugger would be surprised.

Spot on, although Pool are same level as Spurs now....and thats whats killing them

I don't doubt he's a good player is he £50 million good. Seems a lot of money to me . I thought he spent most of his time against us on his arse trying to get free kicks/penaltys.

Sterling is a class player and he's only going to improve now he'll be playing with decent players imo. He's one of the few English players who are actually exiting to watch.

And anyone who winds up Liverpuddle fans is okay with me.

Good luck to the lad.

Here we go again. Great.

Oh yeh qpr get 9million 20% sell on fee .

exactly both hope they can get top four but are relying on one of citeh, arsenal, Chelsea or manyoo slipping up to do so.

Yep

Sterling has made it quite clear that he isn't going for the money but primarily he wants to play at the highest level and win stuff

And he will at city

Probably won't at Liverpool

Unless they make some pretty serious signings I reckon city will finish 4th this season.

As I haven't paid or received 49M fo him I'm not arsed whether he steps up or not, but last season he was hit and miss.

If he was that good, they wouldn't have just sneaked in to the Europa league in 6th, they would have been top 3.

IMO He's a cockend, and I would love it if he failed miserably, jsut for fun.

Sterling looked world class with Suarez, no doubt about that.

I'd like to see him start for City on a regular basis, and become an England regular.

I'd like to see the 10 million pound cheque to QPR get lost in the post.

I hope he works out

If nothing more than to piss the Liverpool fans off

Also a strong City means less chance of Utd winning the league which is always a good thing for me

have they paid the fine supposedly due before they can play in the league?

What happened to the money qpr owe to the league

QPR have challenged the ruling and due to the rules around the process means their is a media black out until a decision is made.

If it goes against QPR then the expectation is that they will then challenge through the UK courts which is similar to a recent claim in the Belgian courts which was successfully won (I believe UEFA just appeals the decision and continued to apply FFP anyway :))

Correctamundo.

even if they do, it will be higher than Liverpool and in a CL place

which is the point Sterling was making that the scousers refuse to acknowledge
