davidjack Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 That's more like it. Good effort that. Did we sell above 10k last season? Quote
Rembrandt Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 This might be the issue though, some think we ought to be a mid table Premier League side, some think more realistic for a club like us is mid-table of the Championship, which is pretty much where we are now. I would agree with the latter rather than the former, as where a club our size could/should expect to be......that's not to say we can't dream though Mid Championship is about 32nd in English/Welsh standings. I'd put it a bit higher, given our facilities, size, traditions etc. 26th., give or take. Top half Championship, occasional play-offs & Prem season. Sometimes a bad season & bottom half of Champ. Plus some good cup runs like in the 90s. Quote
davidjack Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 We're in the top 25 in attendance tables since the 1920s. That includes a couple of decades of serious decline though. As mentioned by others, our support will turn out when there's something worth turning out for. We've not got as big a hardcore support as some clubs, but then, as others have said, we have masses more competition within a 30 mile radius than say Sunderland or Southampton. Quote

davidjack Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Good on everyone who's stuck with it. I dread to think how many we'd have sold after another season of Deadly Dougie. I'm sure a few more will be sold if we can get off to a decent start. Quote
embankment Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Not many fans buy tickets on a week by week basis at Bolton. Our hard core support are all season ticket holders. Lets hope we all get tickets for the FA semi - finals and playoff final this season. Plus the 3rd round defeat of the scum . Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) Derby requested 1000 more tickets and already sold 2600 so could be decent crowd on for that game. Edited July 27, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote

BOWTUN BAKED Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Beer price going up next season according to my itk source.  That's it Bolton...steer more fans away. Fine by me. I'm not spending another penny over the bar at the Macron anymore. The list of complaints has got to long now & no-one seems capable of dealing with the grievances, so Fook 'em.  When I asked for an e-mail address or contact number to speak to someone about it, I got "i don't know, phone the club & ask"  Out of date beer, over charging, short changed, burnt pies, out of products (fookin' Bovril! How do you run out of a dry goods product?) Poor attitude from the supposed supervisor, I even got nearly £4 in change in 20p & 10p coins, the list goes on, poorly organised & treat like they're doing you a favour. Sick of it, as no-one can be arsed or take ownership of dealing with the issues, I'm just not giving them my money anymore.  I'be been taking my own stuff in now, cheaper & better. Bollocks to their incompetence. Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Well said they take the piss to the power of n .Guinness in a can 4.50 dabs what a joke , can get the proper stuff across the road in a glass for slightly cheaper price & no queue .They once had big sign on the wall 'any three choc bars 4 quid' I decided to treat (bribe) my grandson & ordered the three bars, 4.40 he tried to charge me .When I pointed to the huge sign above his head (should have read dickhead below) he shrugged his shoulders & said 'ok go on then give me four quid' like he was doing me a favour ! waffer cup 07 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 And the queue's for beer etc will be Just as long this season as last and the people buying stuff will still complain. Nothing will change until stop buying the over priced crap. Quote

Bang on.  We had the same arguments last summer.  How they have the nerve to put the prices up,yet again, when the overall product is inadequate is beyond me.  It's why we struggle to get 11k through the doors on weekly basis and currently stand at 6k season tickets sold.  Piss taking bastards deserve all they get. davidjack Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 After 18 years it should be possible to have a system that actually works by now ie serves pints quickly and at a reasonable price. How hard can it be for fuck's sake? It's so infuriating. For all the things the club have started to get right in recent years eg ticket prices for kids, we consistently let ourselves down in other areas when it comes to actually making it easier for fans to give the club money! Whether it's selling beer or match tickets from a shit website that's rarely updated...somebody sort it out! Quote
