Could've had about 17 tonight.

Poor finishing cost us.

No big panic but we need someone to stick the ball in the net.

Well we won't get that signing a big lump who could hardly find the net for shelf wed!

We battered them to be fair, but lacked composure in front of goal. 4:0 wouldn't have flattered us. Decent at the back, Holden grew with confidence. Vela and Mavis shone, clough not quite himself but was fouled about 8 times. Madine dominated generally but should have scored at least 2. Danns for me is weak at the moment.

One of those nights really, indicative of how far we've plummeted.

Not sure how we lost that.

Scabby bastards.

Thought Holding was assured enough for a debut.

Clough still isnt quite at the races yet.

His legs are shot, best days are behind him.

We hut the woodwork 3 times against derby..

And once tonight

I wonder if a ball hitting the bar then bouncing back onto the bar is technically hitting the woodwork twice.

I'm a Danns fan but he's been poor since Christmas im not sure why Medo not been given a chance looked fit and up for it at Southport deserves a chance.

Are goalposts even made of wood?

just one of those things we should have won easy. If only Lennon could be given some support by the Board we could have a really good season. But they won't so we continue to miss the couple of players who could make a real difference. Very frustrating

yay, well done me

You could sense that was going to happen.

Hopefully Lennon can work his magic and bring in a composed striker in.

Totally dominated that game, but they defended well and there was always the chance of them nicking it. Madine had some excellent moments in the game so wouldn't be writing him off yet. Holding looked good although very little to do if truth be told. Clough had a mare but we all know what he is capable of when he is up to speed.

Not too downhearted after that to be honest.

You had me agreeing until then. It was a freak result, they had one shot that rebounded off someone's arse and went in.

We've lost to lower teams before and will do again, it happens, look at tonight's results. It was a good run out, we should have won but we don't look like scoring.

As much as Madine's header was a bit of a sitter and he could have done better with his chance in the second half, I don't think we really threatened that much, but there again neither did they. Reached a stage where something daft would win it and so it turned out. I'll take some of the blame as a split second beforehand I was laughing at Forest conceding a 95th minute winner and the Wigan and Blackburn defeats.

Pretty shite night.

Thought Holding did well for his debut though.

We had a lot of possession and a few shots but didn't really make their keeper do much.

Danns was poor.

We've been crap for as long as I care to remember in this cup but usually with a shadow team. We should have won this no question but we are very predictable playing too much through the middle.

We are desparate for a decent winger and striker - without them I struggle to see us scoring enough goals to do anything other than toil

1st game for a while thought we battered them for 87 minutes one lucky deflected goal has beaten us. In need of someone who knows how to finish but thought we played really well tonight. No need for the boo boys at the end was just one of them nights

Easily outplayed Burton, created a good number of chances & looked solid in defence (Holding did well without being tested too much & Vela was good in the defensive midfielder role )  but if you don't take your chances this can always happen....we've done it to others.

Scoring  may be a problem for us without a recognised goalscorer, so hopefully the goals will have to be spread around the team. but the overall performance was good enough to give us confidence we should be alright
