I think the council used new powers to CPO it and turned it into greenspace as has been a desire nationally for land left undeveloped for a long time. You mean as opposed to the massive Queens Park round the corner?? 😅 There are people shooting up on those benches daily 💉

AOs owner ended up telling them to fuck off and moved to the offices at Middlebrook. Try walking past Compton Place in a suit and see how long it takes for a baghead to ask you for money. I'll give you 2mins, they're too lazy to even stand up nowadays, they just lie on the floor screaming for spare change. The standard of drug-addicts now is woeful, 1990's Halliwell bagheads had some get up and go about them.....
December 5, 20241 yr Pasty chat hidden away in Town Centre thread? Thanks. Anyway, you’re all talking about cat food. Probably best you’ll get mail order are Barnecutts of Bodmin. https://barnecutt.co.uk/shop/ As you were.
December 5, 20241 yr I used to like them Cornish pasties from Greenhalghs that looked like dinosaurs, expensive though, not had one in years. Think its gone now ( not been for a couple of years) but there used to be a Greenhaghs in Lancaster, saw they had steak puddins in the window and told my wife to nip in and get a couple and gave her a couple of quid. She came out shaking her head, over 6 quid for 2 and that was a couple of years back.

I'm not sure price comes into it, you can pay loads or little for both - I'm assume there is absolutely no difference, other than shape Cornish pasties are massive, so yes, one pasty can be enough - if you're talking about those dogshit Carrs efforts, then no, you need about 3 of them

You lot down south may have it differently; places like that one listed don't sell pies at all. Stegs at Greeny's have some veg in, so aren't really comparable to a meat and tater pie.

You'll not get pasties in any local bakers round here. Only Pies and the local "Bedfordshire Clangers" which can be a bit odd.
