SAD kicks in a bit, and can't wait to fuck off. Quote
frank_spencer Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Love a mooch round the shops but avoid places like Primark as it gives me the fear. Quote

only1swanny Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Finally doing some work on the land that used to be williams BMW. Went into Bolton Friday and Bury today, I reckon if Slaters closed I'd just stop nipping to town. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Noticed some scrub removal a week or two back. Dunno what's occurring though. Quote

Bury took the money and let the developers do what they wanted, Bolton was trying to coordinate developments across the whole town. Then the recession happened and no developers were spending anything. There was no town centre sites to hold on to for those of any heritage. Utter bullshit. Go polish your beads. Quote

royal white Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) Went to the panto at Victoria halls on Wed evening (very good by the way) and town was dead. The market place has so much potential, people talk about the Rock in Bury as being some kind of shopping heaven but from what I’ve seen it’s on a par with the MP. Especially when they go for snow scenes etc. Still, there are people here that believe RL is 'the greatest game of all' or that AFL is far superior to association football. Weird should not be a surprise. Quote
