Are yes the Cambridge Estate, I recall nearly being hit by a sofa which was chucked out of a 3rd floor flat, I also remember a couple, the girl of which had Meth mouth(I didn't even know Ice was a thing in England)  walking out the door of a flat before turning to swear all sorts obscenities to her bf/ex bf. Was a wonderful experience, but I was pleased that the people I encountered were English.

Yes you can drink on National Express, as long as you don't walk on slaughtered, open can in hand you should be fine, it will be half empty that time of day anyhow so sit at the back next to the loo and enjoy a very long journey.
