Good work by the club, as others have said, to effectively swap a reserve player who wants to leave for Morley, Dempsey, Charles & Toal, & if there's some money over, i'd trust IE to spend it wisely.

Are we expecting an announcement at 5 today then.    Seems to be the recent trend with signings plus will have to be done today wont it for whoever to be good to go on Saturday.

I kind of liked it when we had a player who both scares and winds up opposition fans like Dapo did. Good luck to the lad but I’ll miss him.

Really good player who did well for us. Our formation isn't suited to him though so it's not a major loss. Hopefully we can use whatever transfer fee we received to strengthen with a player that is suited to the formation.

Good luck to him though.

The transfer fee has no impact on Evatt's planned transfer budget apparently. It won't be immediately reinvested in the playing squad.

Can see Dapo flourishing as a LW over there then getting a decent move back to England most likely to the champ but apparently we did get a sell on % so that's a positive. It was a weird stage where he either had fo extend his contract or move on, he wants to get back enjoying his football in his favoured position & we wanted to get what money we could whilst we still can without him entering his last year with us next season. Like some other have said 100k for Morley, 100k for Toal, Dion 300k all amount to what we just got for Dapo, we just need to look where we can unearth the next few gems that suit the way we play. That being said if we've strictly sold him just to fund the new pitch in the summer though then it is a disappointment

Why? The money's got to come from somewhere to fund these things, and surely it's a better model to fund it from player sales than have an owner pumping their own money until they're losing too much and withdraw completely. Would you rather see Dapo sat on the bench next season, or a brand new pitch?

Hope we are not going to be underwhelmed by our next ‘exciting’ signing , just a hunch we will be .Still as long as we can accommodate the new player into our system that’s fine. Not Katchunga2 please.

Would not get too excited yet, the lads by us were singing the '20 goals' song for Big Dan as he came on on Saturday. The players may change the songs less so.

Indeed.

We also have folk who have put some money in which has already helped us get players in, and perhaps they are due something back. All sorts of costs need covering.

We don't know the financial situation, but I'm happy to trust FV to manage that well. Kinell, they even managed to get the government to take a stake when other clubs failed with their applications- they'll more than do for me, particularly after the previous crook.

Another L1 team offered to take Dapo on loan.. aye alright lads

Bodvarsson out for the season  is horrendous news…he was starting to look really sharp again with Dion up top. Defo need to bring in 2 strikers now as said above. Gutted 

Don’t fear kachunga will step up 

Well it ain't a traditional BWFC season without one of our better players getting his season ended early. Kachunga is a last 20 minute sub at best to run the clock down, Nlundulu is still relatively unproven to be a mainstay starter although a handy option, we need to get one or two strikers in now to take some burden off of Dion who runs himself into the ground twice a week because if anything happened to that lad then we would be royally fucked! 

Maybe Sadlier gets a run up top. He ain't gone anywhere yet

Chicory Tip released just one album but six compilation/best of albums. 

I can't find where I saw us linked firstly, but I believe it was from some Chesterfield fan site claiming that we were in for Tshimanga. 

I'd be very happy with that, lad is quick, powerful and has an outrageous return even for that level. 

I'd still think if he was to come in we now need another still to replace Bod, ideally a similar target/pivot type.
