Is Dong not a potential right winger that we've just signed to play on the wing? He played there v EFC and looked comfortable enough, I don't recall thinking he looked out of position, certainly not as jarring as Apter on the right.

Yes we could very well see Dong there.

Although SS is telling us he’s competing with Gale for the left spot and that he sees him ATM as an impact sub and someone who will grow into the squad.

He’s also told us Larrazabel/Gaizka (think I’ll just use Gaizka from now on!) is a RB.

But I’d be surprised if we don’t/can’t use him there too at some point.

Quite rightly SS doesn’t want to pass them off as potential RWs while he’s trying to negotiate more forward players, in particular two more wingers!

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

He'd be right to.

Anyone stand out?

Josh Emmanuel was one of very few players to come out looking alright in a terrible era for us. Weird that he's now getting released from NL South teams and struggling to find a club at 28. Wonder what happened there.

You could tell even back then that he wasn't very good.
None of them were.

Leave it out. A loan is 10 times worse.

Just reading Chelsea still have 8 players on holiday after World Cup clearly they are an extreme but shows why EPL clubs are not shipping players out on loan yet.

A 41 players squad! Surely now is the time we get 'that loan' .

That takes me back to Rotherham away - lost 6-1 but it was momentus as the first game with real professional footballers instead of the kids, and Keith Hill's first game, away end buzzing when we took the lead.

I remember Emmanuel looked very unfit, but as the season went on he definitely improved and really gave 100%. I also thought the LB Adam Chicksen was half decent!

We did have some good experienced players and won a few L1 games - Bridcutt, Daryl Murphy, Darcy, Politic, Hamilton, Crawford, Lowe, Hobbs, O'Grady, Verlinden, Earl. A lot of that squad disappeared below the EFL but there were plenty that had careers at or above L1 level and I am still grateful that they contributed to keeping the club going and giving us a competitive game to watch each week, until Covid intervened.

Seems a risk letting 2 defenders going out on loan when there is no guarantee we will have anyone in any transfer can fall through .

We pick an injury up to Davies or farino on Saturday and toal isn’t match fit were struggling for cover for Preston .

Were told were waiting on other clubs sorting there shit out for transfers to trickle down should be telling the likes of Oldham the same

I Expecting someone in today thats already done and dusted and signed

Posh chairman was at it again before saying all those without mega bucks to plough in regardless are in the same boat.

The delay of Premier League players returning back is causing all the hold ups across the board.

Both Inwood and Temple wouldn't count towards senior squad places so we can recall them at any point.

We'd have to wait until January, but yes

Neither of them were considered part of the first team squad anyway, and I imagine it'll be very easy for us to find better replacements before the end of the month so no harm done

Exactly and I got questioned when I made that exact point being told none of them would play in the first team this season. Well the certainly won’t now will they?

FAMEWO and Stephenson can drop in

I’ forgotten Keith Hill ever managed us. We’ve had some shite managers, but he’s the cream of the shite

theyre not going to play

these are thought to be good moves for them - saying no, wait a bit, may mean they don't happen

please note, as well, div 4

maybe BWFC know better than you?

not just you, all the others telling em how to run the transfer business

he wears shorts and leather slip ons in BL2

if it cheers you up, his wife was in a local hostelry watching us play at plymouth last year and supporting plymouth

she left quietly

i have since wondered if shes from down there, but either way

I don’t think anybody’s telling management how to operate transfer policy, people are just expressing opinions which is what this boards for isn’t it.

paraphrasing

'we should be telling oldham and swindon to fuck off'

id say thats telling them what to do

if you want we can argue over semantics

every fucker is an expert, despite never having been involved in such dealings

She quite likely is, he played for Plymouth for a while so probably met her down there

thats my thinking and its not that important

just thought she was stupid

shorts, leather slip ons and BL2 is the point, here )
