All these folk taking the moral high ground ok having Muslims playing for their clubs?

Or their clubs making money from Saudi tv deals or sponsorships?

I don't blame going for a pay day in Saudi now he's 33 and he's deserved it. Obviously I wish he'd come to us on £8k a week having begrudgingly admired him for years. Top midfielder.

Don't agree, pure greed for me. Forgot all your moral principals and chase a hugh payday. Even though his wealth gained so far would see him right for the rest of his life.

Think its easy to say untill someone's offering you £800k a week. That kind of money will see his family right for generations.

Like I said above Liverpool FC will already be intertwined with Saudi.

Bet there's a few laws and morals Muslims over here disagree with.

There’s speculation that Liverpool are to loan out Bradley again and if so could the unthinkable happen?? 🤨

Would be nice but I suspect they’ll want to test him at a higher level

Yes, almost certainly sadly and I wouldn’t blame them.

Bradley would be perfect for a lower PL team like Luton or Burnley or a high end champ team.  Much as I'd love to see him back it would be criminal for him to play at L1 level for another season.

I don't see Bradley as ready for PL just yet but a decent championship side would suit him - he'll rock up at Ewood or Deepdale

There's an oxymoron if ever I saw one, mate.

Will he end up at a decent championship side or will he be at Ewood/Deepdale?

Preston tried to get him off us at Christmas & reported his progress all season. Amazed if he doesn't go there.

Preston already have a Liverpool loan, not sure if that would help or hinder them getting Bradley as well

They lent us a second one ladt year. Not much cop, but they did.

Mate who's a Liverpool fan says he's started every pre-season game at RB, with Trent in midfield, and says Bradley has been class. He's their first choice right back at the minute with Trent in midfield, agree he might not be PL ready yet but he was one of the best players in the league in his first professional season so wouldn't be surprised if he featured for Liverpool a few times this year. Would also save them spending 30 odd million on a right back

Aye.

Thing is, as more and more foreigners go over there, there is more chance of slow social change.

The authorities will be aware of that, but if they want their league to grow, then maybe that's something they're prepared to accept.

Yes but their excellent national team might suffer due to reduced opportunities for Saudis.

Excellent?

They may actually improve playing alongside decent talent and under decent coaches

I think the LGBT groups want to be careful with slamming him.

When they look for the next role models, it might cross these lads minds that it’s not worth the hassle.

You are spot on about the 800k or whatever it is. Unreal amount of money to earn. I go to work and hate it for less than that so I can understand why he’d be keen.

Said it loads of times before but the guy earning that type of dough doesn’t have the same mortgage/outgoings as me and you and it’s a mad figure in our head bit in reality he’s tripling his wages. Not to be sniffed at but not valued the same as us £150k a year types.

I’m assuming their thinking is that if they invest enough in bringing superstars (even old ones) to their league it will raise the standard of the league over time.

Then when the league has reached a certain level they may be able to offer more sustainable wages and look to compete with European leagues on a more balanced level.

Then they can focus on developing their own national players

Where are looking to compete?

Yeah I agree, Trans Euro (daily plug) blokes were saying they think this huge burst this summer is just to get the wheels in motion and get as many eyes on the league as possible when it kicks off in August, then settle it down a season or two later to less crazy levels. Fast tracking it all basically.

They do have a cap on how many foreigners they can play but I think it's a pointlessly high number like 8 😀

I think the point is Henderson - more than most - went out of his way to present himself as an ally, he seemingly wasn't just doing it for doing it's sake

I can well understand why people feel betrayed

For a small country with a population of 19 million nationals they ain't that shabby, have some great players and play attractive footie. Always been a banana skin in the 5 WC's they've qualified for  - and don't forget they played great to beat the Argies - my favourite WC shock in Qatar.

Not sure how much more improvement they can make TBH as they already have decent coaches.

Think getting out a group would constitute a great achievement for them

They did that once in 94, their first WC, but not in the 4 since

Blimey I agree with you !

first time for everything 😂😂👍

They fully intend to have these guys naturalised in due course & present a national team full of stars.

Meanwhile, at the business end, the selling teams are reducing their FFP exposure ...and we'll see loads of these being loaned out on favourable terms.

The words I'm looking for are fraud, conned & manipulation I think.
