We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

have you every come away from the ground, creaming yourself about one of his performances then started to discuss potential transfer fees the day after?

everyone seems to have lost the plot over a pre season game

Yep, i know exactly how some people use the site, but really its pointless. Too much time on your hands. And basically your dissing one of our own players.

i'm not dissing him at all, I thought he played really well last night, really well

seen enough mistakes from him to not get giddy over a pre season game though that's all

Add to his price that he is also now a goalscorer and is likely to outscore vic and Dan combined this season.

I hope it doesnt happen but it easily could,  if a bid came in for Santos then what would we accept?  Are we talking 7 million or going all Bristol city and demanding 25 million for their defender ?

I'd be thinking £1M / £1.5M is the best we'd get

If he was 23 years old then I could see us getting 3-5 million for him but as he’s just turned 28, the next few years will likely be his last dance and I think that reduces his value. In the modern game it seems that players who are 21-24 command the highest fees as they have both more development potential and future sell on potential.

He’s quite reliant on his pace and that will only diminish as he approaches the twilight of his career. And a move now would likely be one to see out the majority of his career.

For him, financially, if he gets an offer to double his money in the Championship then it would make a lot of sense for him to grasp that. And I think it would be hard for us to turn down an offer of 1.5-2m especially if he wanted to go.

If we are tested near to deadline day I doubt we would let him go as it would be impossible to recruit an adequate replacement unless we already have a target in mind. But we would probably say to him, “we will let you leave in January/Summer 2024 if the interest remains.”

Warne has been saying Kane Wilson is still miles away from fitness after knee injury last season. He’s been back training for a while but can’t get fully fit. Pearson made a similar comment not that long ago. Maybe that was the due diligence we did. Seen a few derby fans say he was absolutely miles off it in their recent friendly.

Dont be daft,  we pulled out because we havent got the extra money like mr evatt said and the bond money went straight to Neil harts wifes birthday and Christmas present.

I think it was fairly clear we hadn't managed to agree a fee with his club

Whether that was us no longer willing to pay their asking price after conducting a medical or whether they upped their asking price at the last minute (possibly after getting wind of other clubs' interest), we'll never know

A player named Jordan Attah Kadiri was at the match last night it seems

A striker who plays for Lommel SK

Has a look of Braaten about him, especially like the goal in the leisure centre.

We have better in the B team that bad they have to show him scoring goals down the local Rec

a sunderland fan on their main forum reckons that the move to SA for Henderson was set up by Newcastle's owners in an attempt to silence the dissenting voices regards their ownership coming at them from Sunderland

'Challanges' my personal favourite.

I'd be really interested to learn more about the concept of the 'Ettifaq DNA', sounds a bit like Mel Morris's 'Derby Way' or 'Wigan's History'.

I don't blame going for a pay day in Saudi now he's 33 and he's deserved it. Obviously I wish he'd come to us on £8k a week having begrudgingly admired him for years. Top midfielder.
