January 30, 20242 yr Of course Vic has a price that we would sell for but not sure teams in the second division in Turkey are likely to pay enough.

I don’t think that was necessarily the case, particularly as he got a new contract straight afterwards. More of a case that they didn’t want to stand in GT’s way in terms of seeing what Bristol City could offer or if he fancied testing himself in the league above straight away rather than wait to (hopefully) go up with us.

That may well be true, but it still remains that Evatt was prepared to let him go at the fee offered. Looking at things now, Evatt will be glad that GT decided to stay. We're going to be developing and selling players going forward though, and sadly we'll see lads go who we don't want to.

Had a record breaking years goals wise and Victor's been a huge part of that. Played a premiership team and shone, but some can't see past the 1 in 3 goal record he has this season..
January 30, 20242 yr As much as they are criticised and maligned, the Dion-Vic partnership is the highest scoring in the division.

Didn't score many, and apart from getting his head to long set pieces, I'm not sure his assists would have been that high neither. I don't suppose we'll know exactly what Vic brings until he's not playing regularly. Of course, someone else may be better, but that's the gamble.

Absolutely no comparison mate imo, Davies didn’t score or assist bucket loads but he bullied and harassed defenders which allowed others into the game and he could hold the ball up superbly
January 30, 20242 yr This really isnt an argument over whether hes any good or not Its a question of whether selling a key member of a team all but top of the keague is risky I think it is If its what we do, i really hope it improves us

One is a third division striker. Their worth to their respective teams may be similar though.

January 30, 20242 yr If all goes rosey, B.Rovers cash in on him ASAP as he clearly wants a move & they use the funds to bring in a replacement in time who they feel is more suited to the new manager's system. Realistically, a rejection, us looking around for a past it donkey & trying to bring in cover for CB due to needless injuries to key defenders.
January 30, 20242 yr Enough of this Cogley can fill in at CB bollocks, we need additions there now more than ever. We can't guarantee that Santos/Toal or Iredale won't pick up a nasty injury. If that happens currently we're buggered. We need 3 more signings imo. Collins, and 2 CBs
