  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

if your lawnmower was fcuked and your only income was cutting grass, what would you do

Nice try.

Ken's a far better business man than I'll ever be. He may have speculated to accumulate, and that has started to pay off; but I can't for one minute imagine him doing something which may start to unravel the good work he's already done. Wouldn't look great for any perspective investors.

Oh and by the way, the players aren't fucked, just perhaps not good enough.

My mower isn't the best; but it was arguably my best investment, did my homework, and got one with few tricks but with a good engine; can get up and down consistently and isn't temperamental.

I've managed it magnificently, low maintenance and consummate professional it is.

What's your view; has ken bitten of more than he can chew, or hoping for a deal or two in the window.?

i think we have more going out than we have coming in

just that the gap has been narrowed

the henry signing wouldnt have been a massive cost but it filled a gap that needed filling

so 150k invested to earn a few million

the doomandgloom side of me says you may as well go under for 20 million as 1 million

Could it not be the club are getting some finance in place before the January transfer window.

That’s my take the club are obviously a better catch for a buyer in the championship than league one

So Ken may think you know what we’re not as bad as a few months ago little bit more fine tuning and we could stay up if we are in touching distance come January

Fair enough.

As plenty have said before, I don't see ken here for the very long term, so I can't see him allowing the situation to get progressively worse.

He can't go down your doom and gloom route or he'll get nowt and be finished.

It may be part of a plan whereby he intends to get parky to offload a few in January, if we can, and its a bridge until that happens.

If the likes of Dervite and Derik can't get a game for example.

Oh yes, that might be it. I wonder why 2 or 3 people hadn't already speculated that this could be the reason.

Oh, they have.

Iles confirms we have agreed to a reduction in exchange for early payment in holding add ons

Think the sun ran this online yesterday - or maybe sunday

I think it's wise, Wenger can't hang on much longer, new fella will spend big. We've essentially cashed out.

Someone shared something on FB that made out like Arsenal had done us a big favour as an act of kindness to a struggling club

Clearly if he’s on track to hit the rest of his triggers then it’s in their interest to do a deal now for a saving in the medium term

In our interest to write some off in order to bring cash in now, It’s got to be better than another blue marble style loan

Liking the analogy.

I like the analysis. Could indeed be a wise move

Bolton News call it a "slight" difference in what we would've been due had we waited

it also says it was 2.5m deal rising to 5m - never seen the 5m figure before, if we get near that, then a very decent deal been done

presuming we've had the 2.5m, and we've done a deal on what's outstanding on the other half,  what do we reckon we've written off - about 250k? 100k?

would be a good move if we've just got a cash injection of around 1.5m-2m

Slightly galling when you consider £2.5million is roughly the amount Arsenal spend on wages every 5 days.

Aye the figure is probably right for the exact time he departed. But fuck me when you look at that Chester fella going £8 million the season and same again last season it's like massive kick in the bollocks.

aye, though if it were to get near 5M it's not so bad all things considered

there's some who say a player is only worth what another team pays for him, but that is bollocks

Eagles gone there too, typical Coyle

People critising the Holding deal, we've got more for him than Charlton got for Joe Gomez. A lad who's younger and an England international already.

Interesting stat that.

Gomez has looked impressive in these games.

Gomez had a release clause in his contract. Holding didn’t to best of my knowledge

He played a little football

But then he fell into the union and barged his way into the toilet

How many keys?

And? It's a contract negotiated by the club. A massive fuck up, yet folk are queueing up to know us whenever we sell someone.

Very good mate. Great band.
