I remember this Matete he's played against us a few times. Grimsby away when we were gunning for promotion in Evatts first season, he scored inside the first minute against us. Then the season after he was at Fleetwood (who beat us at their ground 3-0, Santos red card, windy as fuck, pissing it down) he was the best player on the pitch. He is similar to Paris in ways, maybe not as offensive although he can pass/dribble well but a lot more defensively responsible. On another note BOOOOOOO! Jay Mateta? That was my first thought when I saw the clips, particularly that goal he scored for Grimsby.

Maybe but we did lose CJ and Bod up front so with Lolos and McAtee added we’d only really be keeping the same.

Good signing likes a tackle strengthens are midfield better options now.

I wasn't expecting a new midfielder though.

I'm a bit unsure where we are with fullbacks &/or wingbacks.

I'd imagine Dempsey will be down the pecking order now, I'd imagine our first choice 3 mids will be Sheehan, Thomason and Matete?
