Have we signed any midfielders?

Not been paying much attention

We're one of several clubs interested in the Dundee captain, McCowan.

TBF Scotty Arfield has already shown he's still got some legs

Aaron Connolly the next name being touted on twitter

20 goals a season in league one. Was the next big thing once upon a time at Brighton

Another with a hit and miss career with injuries

I think he can get as many as May in league one

Thank God for that, had visions of sticking him in a wheelchair.

Still no club so there comes a time where you’ve got to get fixed up.

Strange that, must have some issues or something because he's easily a championship player if fit.

I'm amazed he's still only 24 - seems to have been around for ages.

Never heard of him. His stats and career trajectory makes L1 a likely next stop.

Was doing really well for Brighton in the first year or so of them in the prem. ROI international then I think a couple of injuries and he faded away a bit. Few sightings of him being out and about on the piss at Boro which didn’t go down well. Not sure how well he did overall at hull.

something there both positively and negatively I’d say

Can’t be fit though if he hasn’t been at a club so it would take some time to get him anywhere near up to speed and we need players there from day one. Seems decent quality though if IE wants to risk it but there’s usually a good reason why players are still available at this stage.

Is there a player out there you'd be happy with?

I've similarly never heard of him and can't immediately see why he'd be of much interest to Championship clubs
