August 12, 20242 yr Dom Bollard Southampton striker linked with a loan move. On loan at Reading last year only played 10 games scoring 3. if a striker is rumoured to be off it would make sense us loaning someone in to plug the gap
August 12, 20242 yr Last couple of paragraphs from that Baxter interview may be quite telling. I have a suspicion that Coleman may leave.
August 12, 20242 yr Baxter isn’t the only one who hasn’t extended or renewed his contract and we don’t know if that’s at the clubs or players discretion so best not to conclude anything. I suspect much depends on where we are in January but certainly if an acceptable offer came in before then I’d expect any of our players to be off. Hopefully that doesn’t happen because our squad right now could arguably be the strongest in L1, all of whom we’ll need to clinch an automatic spot.

August 12, 20242 yr Wouldn't be against that Ballard lad if presumably Dan was off, the lad was a goal machine at PL2 level & started off well for Reading before he got his season ended. That being said, makes sense for them to loan him back to Reading where he'd be the main man starting week in/week out rather than just an option who isn't guaranteed any starts for us. Worth an ask though

Worth an ask though Dan's tied down to a 3 year deal, we've no chance of anyone paying for him

August 14, 20242 yr I see Sheff U have agreed a 2m fee for Plymouth goalie Cooper. Baxter to Plymouth rumours to start again!

If Burnley, Leeds etc came calling then maybe.

August 14, 20242 yr Money- how much more can they offer. League- as I said above, if a bigger club then yes, but it might not be for long, especially with shrek in charge. Location- lost me.

Whatever more they offer it’s what you work for at the end of the day. At the moment they are a bigger club, full houses at home and a league higher and as for location? Are you serious? Rainey, scruffy Bolton or the English Riviera, now let me see? If it all goes pear shaped under Rooney Nathan moves on like they all do but the advantages right now are reason enough to move. Baxter has no loyalty to Wanderers we’re just a stepping stone for him so if Plymouth or any team higher up come for him I’d expect him to jump at the chance.

What we would be arsed about is him sulking because we prevented him from going and getting nothing in the summer anyway.
