We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Randall looks like he needs some steak and eggs to bulk up a bit as for the alleged Norwegian CM they are usually made of strong stuff those Norwegians.

I thought that was gospel! :)

Maybe it's not permitted over there to sign players with a very long term wrist injury.

Far too early yet. You have to wait towards the end of the window and hear stories of their window being extended.

We'll go with what we've got!!

Joe Taylor.

Pretty decent apparently. Off the shoulder type.

Perfect for our treacle ball :D

Rumoured that he’s also a serious target for Huddersfield.

He’s a really good player. Big upgrade on Charles.

i mentioned elsewhere, and I have no knowledge on this, that the only way we let Charles go to Huddersfield is if they give us free run at Taylor.

Would be surprised if he came to us but you never know.

With Edwards leaving Luton ,Taylor may not be available anymore with a new manager coming in.

Yep entirely possible. He’d be a hell of a coup for us anyway so the odds are slim. It’s good to dream

Have to agree I was hoping Evatt would have tried to sign him in the last transfer window but got Macatee instead.

We tried last January but he turned us down

I’ll be glad to see the back of Dion Charles, been a good signing but we’ve had him at his peak, on the decline now and if we can get a profit for the almost 30 year old then happy days.

Joe Taylor=R9 😂 encouraging reading this.

Taylor would be a very good signing but from what I've seen about it it would seem to only be a loan, which doesn't really match what you'd like the ambitions to be in replacing Dion.

If it does turn out to be permanent then that's a great move, it won't be cheap though you'd imagine, comfortably another £1m+ signing.

I’d take a loan if his goals got us out of L1 but my concern is as always, that he just won’t get the time or consistency of partners to really flourish. In fact until Evatt bins his annoying and for me damaging rotation system none of our strikers will really deliver.

Derby who were struggling for goals got promoted last season thanks to a loan striker who got them few key goals then dumped him after getting promotion, so not bothered if it's only a loan at this point if it helps us out of this league

I agree that a loan move isn’t a terrible position to be in. If we don’t get promoted and Evatt gets potted, the new man (or woman 💣) in charge may want to bring in their own players to fit a more conventional system.

Be a good signing playing behind the strikers in a 3 man midfield.

Is he what we really need though.. crying out for some physicality.

Showing him rolling his socks down low on his shins is tantamount to gaslighting us.

You can never have enough powder puff in your squad.

Not in Evatt teams.

Agree, any loan player will be contracted to us for just a long as Santos, Baxter etc.
