Any news on the fee?

A lot of Peterborough supporters online are saying they are glad to see the back of him and he has a bad attitude.

Yet they were delighted when he signed his new contract in the summer

I thought with Morley back our squad was full at 22 players so who’s been either moved out or deregistered to allow the Randall signing or am I misunderstanding the system?

So their not going to say he's a great player and you've stolen him.

Tbh i'm not particularly bothered what fans say when a player moves on and will make my own mind up when i have watched him play for us and see how he does.

What has surprised me though is the amount of people saying the same thing. Lets hope they are wrong.

Absolutely. I cant claim to know much of him and will wait and see. But as you've mentioned, nearly all their fans saying the same thing. 

But, how many times have we seen players not work at one club and then do well at another. 

Definitely wait and see.

As is usually the case these days, and is with our players, one minute they're a God next minute a Judas. They were all over him on Twitter on August when he extended his contract. 

No doubt at all we have not replaced what Maghoma offered (evidently neither CMG or Lolos are that) so if he is here to do that and he does it well, all good.

i spoke about this last week

i THINK theres no squad thing goes on during the transfer window

 

Definitely a gamble bringing Randall in , he’s got talent but definitely isn’t going to put his foot in .

Earlier this season watched Northampton v Peterborough on sky plus.

Randall’s running from deep was outstanding , however they managed somehow to lose the game which they had totally dominated due to abysmal finishing .

At the time I thought Peterborough were a worse version of us.

Hope this comes off , expect him to start in place of Lolos.

Obviously Santos is a stand out physically, and Matete our other physical player (assuming no more Dempsey this season).  Tomo certainly not weak, but doesn't have the guile to win the ball without fouling most of the time, and he's no threat at set pieces in the air, like most.

Schon and Charles try hard and are tenacious but get brushed aside easily, 2 of the least physical players we could have.

Physical strength as well as mentality are the problem for me.

Fuckin ell all our players get castigated when they leave then spend each week turning into world class superstars that we should never have let go.

I agree somewhat but think he's an excellent signing for us.

We don't need him to put a foot in, that's not his game and that's fine.

We have players like Matete and Thommo in midfield behind him.Let him be that no 10 that picks the ball up and runs with it.

Regarding the rumoured fee, when asked if it was 1.2m Marc Iles responded saying slightly less, so probably about 1 million.

With his quality and age I dont think we've paid much more than his value.

Imagine if we'd listened to the same talk when we signed Kevin Davies from Southampton and Blackburn who both hated him, said he was dog shit, worst signing ever, good 1 in every 10 games blah. Probably one of greatest players and a proper work horse over the net 10 years. Take that crap with a pinch of salt. 

Randall is obviously going to be a regular starter in midfield, I presume Sheehan won't be playing alongside him or will Randall be tucked in just behind the strikers and Sheehan further back?

Yep. It's crazy how people often criticise our own club for letting players go and see them prosper (admittedly usually at a younger age), but they aren't prepared to wait and see when it comes to someone coming in.

Sometimes, just sometimes, i get the feeling that some fans are just looking for a reason to moan.
