Well, that's all a load of bollocks :D

You've made it sound like GT is being held back by having to baby-sit Sheehan.  GT's poor touch, poor passing and often ridiculous bookings is what is holding him back.  Hopefully that will improve as he gets older.

Of the current crop of players only Sheehan is the one I'm confident in receiving the ball from the keeper with an opponent up his arse.  That said, if SS is happy for him to go then so am I.  He'll know more than any of us which players we need to keep and those that can move on.

Well have to disagree on sheehan then.

Far too often he goes missing and doesn't fulful that role.

As for GT, his performance dropped off like them all last season, but with someone else contributing to the defensive side, we may see a different player.

There are room for playmakers, as there are for more direct players.

No point asking the latter types to do a role that aren't suitable for.

We'll see what happens in due course, however given both managers have kept GT as captain and played him regularly I reckon there is more chance of him remaining here than Sheehan.

We can't have, and don't want wholesale changes, but some are required. Particularly in midfield.

Yep let's do Tommo tomorrow.

Save McAtee for Funtime Friday.

One every 2 or 3 days till end of June while its quiet.  When everyone's had a turn, back to Sheehan in July based on whether we should accept Cardiff's £250k offer and to compare him to the 1st new signing.

There'll still be another 8 weeks left till the window shuts so plenty time for Sheehan to get another appraisal in August, based on how he's looked in pre-season.

Someone previously discounted as shit will become "shit hot" in pre-season, Marc Iles will be describing how he's come back looking in great shape, raring to go and ready to stake his claim.  Randall or Lolos, guaranteed.

his playing history is weird

2 or 3 cut short loans with no games then a full season

He’s not a number 10. That’s a step in the right direction

In response to @LH white in the other thread

Assuming they get CL footy

Grealish to Newcastle I reckon

Be a good fit

Mmm, not too sure about that.

They already have Gordon and Barnes.

He definitely needs to leave, though. Been blunted by Pepball.

Maybe back to Villa?

Yeah, just a loan.
Had a good season at Doncaster last time around.

Can't suss his contract out, seems to suggest his contract ends shortly, presumably he's signed an extension?

He needs to be through the middle for me as a 10.

At 29 he hasn't got time to waste on the bench. Villa toon or Spurs for me.

Toon have possibly the strongest midfield in the league, Spurs are shite but have an abundance of players in that behind the striker role (sound familiar?) and Villa are flying so you could question whether they need him, but is probably most likely.

Everton??

I'm pretty certain that if it was financially possible, Villa would be in for him in a flash

Think it was stated Chelsea want him to sign again before going

They won't be getting anywhere near the 100 million back

Sure he lobbed a 19 year old on for his debut on Saturday and left Grealish on the bench

Most famous for being pissed on a bus

Shame

I never said they did?

Just highlighting how much of a waste it's been

He played a pivotal role in winning them the champions league pal. That's worth it alone.

There's been much bigger wastes.

Is Haaland going the same way?

Imagine him in Liverpools team or similar. Fast counter attacking. He'd be in and away like a fuckin demon..
