Aye the win rate is bollocks but how can 1 promotion, a play off semi, a play off final and PJC put you in the worst manager in 50 years bracket?

Big Sam's % takes into account multiple wins away at Fergie's United. Evatt's contains wins against the present day's U21s.

He was fine. For the size of the club and level of investment of he had behind him - third place in L2, Papa John's win and a no-show in a L1 play-off final is just about par. Maybe slightly less given the state he left us in.

He's certainly the manager who's achievements have been overrated the most. Most of all by the owners of the club.

So the club appoint a recruitment guru and former England national team analyst on a massive salary, who has direct contact with the board and is backed up by a team of analysts.

Evatt says we need x or y.

Said guru says to the board and to Evatt we need to sign this bloke - he’s the best guy within our budget for the role - just look at his stats.

What’s Evatt going to say? You and your entire department are a waste of space and your (extensive) research is meaningless?

Answer: Probably not.

Although he should perhaps have asked to see what criteria they applied when measuring attitude and commitment.
