Mullin signed on loan for Wigan and I think that’s a cracking signing for them. Maybe a bit of risk from his injuries but if he stays fit he’ll definitely score goals for them. Could’ve been useful here up top with Dalby again?

Mulling has a capability ceiling. He always fails above 4th tier. Even kick & rush Wrexham saw that.

A couple people on twitter suggesting Southwood off to Bristol Rovers

I’d wager he won’t get 10?

He can get 20 as long as none are against us.

Managed by Darrell Clarke, his manager at Cheltenham

Yeah I’m not bothered what he does to be honest. Just glad it’s a signing we didn’t look at.

Really? Ok I’ll take that and we’ll see at the end of the season. The only thing I think will prevent it is injuries but if he plays games he’ll score.

Would make sense, Darryl Clarke is the manager at Rovers and he was manager at Cheltenham when Southwood was there.

If he did go that would leave us with two very young keepers.

Happy with that

Don’t need to involve money tomski just a sportsman’s bet because I personally think he’ll be out injured frequently but if he isn’t he’ll probably bag those 10 league goals by Christmas.

Hutchinson has looked good everytime I've seen him play, good shot stopper and a cool head. I'd have no reservations about him being our second choice goalkeeper.

SS has described wanting to get some experience into the squad what'd you think about Andy Carroll and Jack Colback in something similar to the Jerome position. PS these are just examples.

Get an extra year or 2 from them if they still have it and impart some experience onto the younger lads. As they've played in the leagues above helps set the expected level. Could tempt them with a route into coaching etc.

I suppose the other thing to factor is Sharman Lowe played 51 times last season. I appreciate you can’t predict injury but confidence is up v Baxter for obvs reasons.

As a few have stated he hasn’t come in for a 2 way fight for the jersey.

Don’t know enough about hutch but if that’s the plan then all good for me. This could be a scenario where an older head comes in. Can’t say I’m bothered that TSL and hutch are young as I certainly wasn’t bothered when it was Trafford.

Andy Carroll doesn't represent professionalism of the highest order, even if there was something remaining in his legs, which I doubt.

Could he have turned over a new leaf: I doubt it, but if so, it would represent a bit if a risk.

All fairy nuff, but you need a 3rd to call in for firm, injuries or suspension reasons.

You don't necessarily need to have them on your books as emergency loans for keepers are available, but one in your back pocket for just in case makes sense.

I don't think Hutch is up to playing second fiddle for the first team just yet personally

Hutch is/will be a great back up this season....Play all the cup games and be on the bench for league games.

Sharman lowe to start all league games unless a bad, long term injury rules him out.

Plenty seemed happy that we only had one a keeper in our Match day squad of 18. Another bizarre trait from our past management team

Other factors too. SS ostensibly giving youth a chance but the likes of Carroll would squeeze out big Dave and the young lad we signed, and wages for experienced players expensive. But we’ve signed some cracking oldies before….

I still have a feeling our “older” player will be James McLean to fill the left back role. I don’t particularly like the guy personally but he’s still a good player with a winning attitude and will certainly rile other teams fans, most notably Wigans so it would be a yes from me.
