Well no doubt he'll want to leave Salford

Just hope we can get it done before anyone else comes in

Can't be arsed looking, but would be interesting to hear Collins first MK Don's interview.

Buzzing to be joining such a "massive" club.....👀

"When I spoke to the manager and Neil Hart about the project here, I knew their ambitions matched mine and seeing the stadium and facilities, I just knew I wanted to be part of it.  It was a no brainer".

Or just "what Gethin said".

I think the problem with Sheehan is where Evatt was playing him, that is mainly as a defensive midfielder, IMHO he seems more of a number 10 than any of the expensive dross Evatt signed.

Everyone going on slating sheehan can anyone tell me what GT brings to the table? Sheehans a midfielder with natural ability on the ball.

GT has some workrate but doesn’t look like a footballer same with schon.

Is there a player in the squad that anyone rates.

It doesn't sound like it may as well give in now as every other team must have world-beaters

That said, Sheehan is clearly better quality than Thomo but he epitomises the style that made us also rans.

Must be watching a different game to me..

he’s always late to a tackle hence the yellow cards.. running round like a headless chicken 2 seconds behind play.

most one footed player I’ve watched which limits him to L1 can’t trap a ball touch is horrendous and leads to him having to make a tackle to keep it.

Motivator😂😂 we need a new captain.

I like midfield Dempsey Morley Simmons (assuming), Sheehan all have quality.

just don’t get this fan base that slate our better players.

sheehan has been our best midfielder over the last few seasons, same as santos being our best DEFENDER.

Except he stopped being. More or less as he got the strain injury after beating Plymouth.

He never recovered from that, he didn't recover from having the Captaincy taken from him, he didn't recover from Evatt, finally, being turfed out & he failed to recover from a fckg huge sulk for most of this season. He did nothing, as a senior pro, to improve our unprofessional training regime & he spent much of the final season avoiding playing for us.

He HAD been our best but was not for more than a whole season.

I do not see many slating Sheehan...I think he is quality but he will struggle to get game time in front of the back four.

I have thought he would be better pushed further up in the 10 position, but he would be one of five players vying for the one spot.

He wont be alone i also think Schon  and Desmond are players who wont fit into Schumacher way of playing

I presume you mean "everyone" rather than anyone?  In which case, probably not.  But isn't that one of the reasons we have a forum, for folk like us to have discussions about them.  There's never a conclusion at the end where we say "so that's decided then, x player is quality and y player is crap".  There's no answer, all opinions are valid and add to the discussion, as long as its based on watching a player fairly regularly.

Can't questions GT effort, but I really think he has peaked, he tried to improve on his regular bookings last season but he is often crude and clunky. Physically he has bulked up. I would expect him to be relieved of his captaincy next season and if we improve in his position, he will slide down the pecking order. We'll see?

You lost all credibility at no.2 😂 - he’s one of the worst in the squad at it.

Oh and he’s absolutely the opposite of the athletic style that SS is apparently building. He is so far from being dynamic

I think every player in the first team could do a decent job in league 1, just not together, they don't have the right mix of physical and mental characteristics, and together they're too easy to counter as a unit, which is why after a short bounce they reverted back to being useless.

George’s downfall last year was that his long range passing coupled with the timing of his pass was really off, when compared to previous seasons. Mind you there was no pace up front to aim at.

Fitness and attitude cannot be questioned.

Although,as with Josh if an offer comes in. SS will consider it as he wants to wheel and deal and stamp his playing style on team.

Morley is the only one I'd now keep. The others are good players, but it really is best for them and us to move on.

I like Morley and for me he's a player who will improve as the team improves (hopefully).

Are they actual words????

And as for your actual question......No i do not think all who said they were injured were unfit to play

These would be the players released who already had clubs lined up......And i or more importantly Schumacher would have no issues with that, but on the same score yes i do think the likes of Forrester, Toal, and Morley carried injuries  and if you think otherwise you would be a complete NOBHEAD

I agree: those 3 were genuine for me, which was the point you made initially.

The rest you didn't disagree on!

Im hoping and thinking Schumacher is going to surround him with water carriers and protect him… he’s quality just needs a minder.

Not for me.

Same applies to Morley and Randall.

Don't need all three.

The other two are younger and have longer contracts.

Wherever he plays, he will still be targeted, and there is only so much protection others can be expected to offer. Once a player starts shitting out of tackles, and that results in conceding goals, then they can go.

He has had his day for me, and epitomises the Evatt failings.

If the squad is being reduced, sell him whilst we can,  get a bit for him and invest his wages into areas that need strengthening- another striker or two.

Once released from nursing tarts, he may well become more "dynamic".

Same with overcommitting with tackles.

Clearly time will tell with regards to how SS sees his squad, but he would appear to be more his type than the fannies are.

I cannot remember who started that game but i do not think any that are contracted for next season cried off
