It will only be a good signing if he scores goals and that we won’t know until the season ends

Of course we won’t but you can say the same about any new signing. He’s a proven goalscorer over a number of years so I’d be amazed if he doesn’t continue that at Wigan if he stays fit.

I meant when his loan finishes because they’ve not had to offer a long contract to sign him. Dalby may flop here but we are tied to him.

Hes a proven goalscorer at league 2 and below. Hes not a proven goalscorer at league 1 level. 

I seriously hope we are not in the market for any of the above and that our extensive scouting network is scouring Europe, Africa and South America where we may find a better class of has been.
