It's a fair point, and i hope she does stand firm. However, i do know that even at the end, she didn't want rid. It was fan pressure (and Nick Luckock pressure) that saw him go. 

Also can't help but think he may have been bombed out by Xmas in his first season had fans been in the ground. 

It's all hypothetical really but I think SS needs some time and space to get this right. As you say, barring disasters, I am happy to give him a couple of seasons to get this right!
