Surprised some are pinning hopes on Dalby. His scoring record hardly worth getting excited about and his injury suggests he won’t start the season. Even if fit he will be well off it fitness wise. I seem to remember a decent Wrexham fan coming on here to tell us not to get our hopes up. That said he’s only 25, and could be a new Superkev 🤞

Maybe he'll be a target man to bring the wide boys in to play. Like you say, lead the line like SKD.

We desperately need another mind. Unless Warren is the next Jamie Vardy :)

I can see it now tomo signs for Wrexham doesn’t pick a yellow card suspension all season gets promoted in the prem in 12 months 😂

He'll still be bobbins..

Simons has looked good so far, but it's been two friendlies and not 90 minutes.

Hope he's as good as some reckon.

That is essentially what SS has said about Dalby.

Wants him to bring others into scoring positions.

I know.

Therefore developed as a youngster.

Gets the stick.

We signed Marco Alonso at 19 though I wouldn't class him as home grown

The stick he gets for me comes from the fact he's consistently clumsy with poor judgement and keeps getting silly bookings which distract him from his main game

GT is a workhorse, vocal on the pitch and seems to be a lovely lad. He can pick out the odd worldy pass and has a strong shot. However, in my opinion, his strengths at div1 level will go totally unnoticed in the championship, his opponents week in week out will be better footballers. Cash in, buy a good striker.

Plus he looks a bit weird when he runs with his head down like some special kid at school.

I’d be sad to see him go and have been waiting for it to click for him, he could be an absolute beast. He see’s the pass just struggles with execution. He dragged us back into that game on his own against Blackpool at home.

Sheehan should be the one out for me all day long.

I think we 100% need to replace him with another body. Erhanon for me

I'd not be sad to see him go because of the fact it hasn't clicked

When he first came in he looked to have a great range of passing in him

He stood out v Blackpool, scored a couple of good goals but other than that I just see him as a yellow card waiting to happen, he's not come on like I thought he would

We've too many midfielders so if we can get £1m plus for him then it's great business because we certainly aren't getting that for Sheehan or Morley who I think are better players

Give over.

Better players that no one comes in for!

Obviously, we all have views, but clubs themselves (not just one) aren't daft, and as such, when interest develops, it suggests the player is better than being credited for.

We paid £1m for McAtee - he’s shit

And no, I’m not saying GT is, I’m just pointing out that just because a club offers money for a player, it doesn’t automatically mean they are worth it.

Happens all the time we had our pants pulled down with Randall and Huddersfield with Dion

Windlass as left Sheffield Wednesday as well as Smith.

He has a better goals per game record than Smith and is 2 years younger.

I suspect both have a new club already lined up, possibly us I suppose, for one or the other

Could be an absolute beast but struggles with execution. Sounds like the sort of player you happily take 1.2 mill for.

Fully agree though i think for the 1.2m we could get Ethan Erhahon who would cost the full 1.2m then bring in Michael Smith  Straightaway and the Celtic lad in on loan on the last day of the window.....Job done

Where’s the right back? We can’t go into the season with only Cogley and Desmond.

Rubbish. We got a belting deal for Dion. We saw him at his absolute peak and got rid at the perfect time. Randall will be a different proposition this season.

I think he means Huddersfield had their pants pulled down.

SB's comments about the last two transfer windows allude to some frustration that we have paid big for some who have seriously underachieved, and whose valuations will currently be short of what we outlaid.

Hopefully, some or all of those are enabled, and find it in themselves, to improve to such extent those valuations exceed what we shelled out

Forrester can play there if needed......We are stuck with Desmond and Schon

No idea if Conway or Taylor can play right back

Cogley is good enough and barring a injury will play every league game there, pick one of the wingbacks for the cup games

Unless we can get rid of a wingback we may have to go with what we have got
