Home grown whipping boy!

Hardly, signed him at 19 then sent him out on loan

Surprised some are pinning hopes on Dalby. His scoring record hardly worth getting excited about and his injury suggests he won’t start the season. Even if fit he will be well off it fitness wise. I seem to remember a decent Wrexham fan coming on here to tell us not to get our hopes up. That said he’s only 25, and could be a new Superkev 🤞

It probably depends on the breakdown of the fee but if a healthy majority of the quoted figure is upfront then it's probably the right decision to accept it given he's in the last year of his contract and we need money to reshape our squad

No matter people's thoughts on his ability, he's twice attracted seven-figure offers from clubs in the league above, something no one else in our squad is seemingly capable of

Fair play to him for maximising the opportunity he was given here as well, signing as a teenager from non-league under Hill, breaking into the first-team, becoming captain, and then earning a move to the second tier

Credit should/will be given to IE for developing him as a player too; it does feel like a deal that's good for all parties.

If Wrexham are willing to pay around 1.2 million for GT, I think that's a fair deal, he might well excell in the Championship, on the other hand, I just think we could do with a more dynamic midfielder to replace him.

Would rather keep tomo than spend the money on the Swedish lad if that’s the plan  he would need replacing if he goes

Simons, Sheehan, Morley, Dempsey seem a decent enough quartet if we're playing two in the middle. GT might need replacing but with a squad player rather necessarily with someone better.

We're absolutely crying out for a striker though. Hopefully this is money going towards that.

They were after that ceesay even if Thommo stayed so I think they will definitely look for another midfielder. We can hit multiple positions with 1.2 million. It's a good fee for a player that wasn't going to be guaranteed to start.

lets get Thommo sold, great Servant for the club, but if it means getting the Celtic lad or Jotta in needs must.

Unlike a few who have gone this season he will always be welcomed back

Rather sell Sheehan than Thommo but if he's the one who we can get decent money for then so be it. Similar money to what Barnsley are getting for Connell in which both players have played similar amount of games in the same league & same age so seems fair values. I don't mind Thomason he has bottle about him but if it gets us some cash to get in a a difference maker up the top end of the pitch then it's good business especially when we were already looking to bring in a big, physical defensive s house of a midfielder who may be able to tackle to compliment the likes of Simons/Morley.

Matt Smith has left Wednesday by mutual consent.  Unless he's got offers in the Championship I'd love us to go for him.

Quick get him in the Tardis and get him up to the ground to sign!!!!

Celtic lad isn't coming, other than on loan, if he's signed a new contract there.

Not sure what folk think £1m-ish is going to get us in terms of a replacement and striker.

Assuming Dempsey is going to be part of that midfield squad is hellishly risky.

He won't be available for a good while anyway.

Fully agree though i think for the 1.2m we could get Ethan Erhahon who would cost the full 1.2m then bring in Michael Smith  Straightaway and the Celtic lad in on loan on the last day of the window.....Job done

If Wrexham are seriously offering £1.2m and the bulk of it is up front we have to sell. It's good business and we'd be able to replace him and have more for a further cash signing. Hopefully the extra dosh opens doors that are currently closed to us.

I don't mind Thomason, he's got a good attitude and he's not a bad un. But it's not like there aren't other players around like him.

...anyway, deal's not done yet.
