How are West Brom bigger than us?

And how are WBA bigger than Birmingham?

That's my one and only comment on "who's bigger than who" unless someone wants to start a new thread.

Transfers on here as a general rule would be good.

They have the highest stadium above sea level

Apart from that I'm not sure

You’ve signed a grafter that’s for sure. Good luck to him.

What can we expect from our new striker like then

Mainly lying on a physios bed it seems

It’s all up for debate, but West Brom have a league title, one more FA Cup, a League Cup and have spent eight more seasons in the top flight.

Birmingham? Two League Cups.

By the same metric Preston have two league titles but you wouldn't put them above us or West Brom

It's all a cock waving exercise but id take our recent (last 30 years say) history over West Brom's

Clapham Rovers HAD a proud history, won the FACup but are now defunct - which aptly proves my point about the irrelevance of past achievements to us now.

More interesting are the missing teams - the list of clubs that have won fuck all.

Not by my metrics. Preston haven’t spent anywhere near enough seasons in the top flight for consideration. See also Huddersfield.

It’s all contentious of course. My main point is Birmingham are the 4th biggest club in that region.

Doesn’t look like GT is at Easter Road so expect him departing soon

Great news he’s shite, up until he leaves at least. Once that is confirmed, boooooooo the board / manager are clueless fuckwits

Will be interesting to see who captains the team

Oh aye I'm not denying that

Just don't see West Brom as bigger than us

In my days of supporting us they've been consistent with us in terms of leagues we've been in but we had Europe (not counting the Anglo Italian) and faired a lot better the prem

And as a mascot they have a bloke dressed as a combi boiler where as we have a real lion

Well the oldest I think is now Sheehan and he has captained Wales so maybe he has a shout in the short term but I don’t really see any of our current squad as captains material so I’m hoping that Schu brings someone suitable in shortly. Sad to see George leave if he does but at least it gives us some cash to invest in a quality striker or two.

As good as Sheehan is technically can't be having him as captain, it's alright being captain against Faroe Islands in a nothing game for Wales second string XI but he's one of the quietest player in the squad & gets labelled as a midfielder who bottles out of 50/50's. Eoin Toal or Johnston seems likely even if they there's arguments to say neither deserve to be starting CB's based on fitness & form

Pity about Clapham Rovers would have been a great day out
