FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

He'll be like prime Drogba in that shit for brains division.

how on earth have chelsea got 70mil for that Jackson?

fairplay, seems their being well run like liverpool, whereas united get absolutely burnt when selling players

We've done well there.

Otherwise life must be a constant stream of angry confusion.

I am fully aware it could be a 'me' thing 😉

Decent strikers are as rare as rocking horse shite due to gimpy trends in football. So they're all over priced

Wonder if there's a sneaky get out fee like what Chelsea had with Sancho last season

Glad it’s not just me. He’s looked terrible every time I’ve seen him - I thought there was a typo with an extra “0” added to the price.

I’m convinced that a lot of these dealings now are just dodgy ways of moving cash around to get around rules, likely between owners that have some connection from somewhere.

You look at the summer window of 2024 now and it really was a massive backward step on top of blowing promotion v Oxford at Wembley.

Lolos, Southwood, Schon and Arfield gone already. Tutu injured (again), McAtee has not had the impact we hoped and Forino is decent on his day but not commanding a place in the first XI week in and out.

And this January was awful as well

I read it was a £14m loan fee possibly costing up to £70m if they eventually sign him. He'll only cost the 70 if he has a storming season for them. Getting the £14m was the robbery

Declan John!  And "the one that got away" Baccus.

Yeah, Jackson seems to be in that category of player that just has "I'm a top striker" imprinted on his head, and it doesn't matter if he plays like Dan, the furthest he can fall is to another champions league standard team.

Whereas there are quality L1 or championship strikers that could score 40 a season and they are forever classed as "lower level".  I bet Jackson wouldn't even be top scorer in L1 if he played for Stevenage.

Its the same with managers - some fail everywhere and never drop below Prem level or equivalent, others consistently over achieve in lower divisions and its irrelevant because they aren't big personalities.

3 ex Bolton loanees - Matete, Maghoma, Murphy - I wonder if any of them will get any appearances this season in any proper game.  Maghoma's career seems to be going nowhere.

Murphy and matete I doubt it as they are rubbish from what we experienced at Bolton

Being "rubbish" doesn't mean players don't get moves.  Etete.

Sorry I probably misquoted you, I thought you meant as in nobody would take them in the EFL.  But I agree they aren't getting any games for the clubs they belong to.

I think I saw something not long ago about Maghoma being injured

He'd got into the 1st team squad then got injured

Yeah that’s what I meant. No professional footballer is rubbish but I can’t see them two playing at a high level
