FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Alan Nixon has Forrester off to Barnsley, says Yorkshire Post.

Alan Nixon throws so many darts, the odd one will stick. Generally, as reliable as a chocolate teapot, though.

As @gonzo reminds you, the transfer window is now closed until next year. Anything can change between now and then and speculation is, like Nixon’s posts, pointless.

Not speculating, just saying what I have read. I agree much can change between now and January. We look a man shy at centre back to me unless Inwood is felt to be ready.

We only play two centre backs now and we have   Firino, Toal, Johnson , Forrester, Taylor, Christie, Cogley and Inwood  who can all play centre back....Doubt we will use any of those last three in the league this season as Centre backs

Certainly no need to add to those unless we ship two or three out in January

I appreciate that. It wasn’t a dig at you but, definitely, a dig at Nixon!

Given 4 of those are out of contract in the summer, I can't see a lot of movement in January

Unless we look on track for promotion, and a decent offer comes in for one of the four who are out of contract. This money could then be put towards a Championship level defender who would both help us over the line, and be the start of recruitment for the Championship.

Just read that we have an u21 registered player called Mark Tarzan  !

Not got a clue where he plays 10 or 9 or underlapping full back but please just play him.

I think the opposite especially if it looks like we could go up.......Players might want to get their next move especially if no contract extension is put to them.

This last season we viewed what could happen if out of contract players are left to play contracts out...

Does he dive a lot?

A proper cheetah!

Struggling this one....

Vladimir Weissmuller

Swings both ways apparently.

He could go to Celtic, be a success, and be King of the Jungle.

Just looking at the list of actors: there are numerous, and far more than I expected.

Plenty of names to bugger about with, but few would know who they were.

First mon was called Lincoln.

I can imagine the Reebok crowd trying to do the Tarzan call , would be a kin cacophony .

I can only see Cozier Duberry going back in Jan for a higher loan or a sale if he carries on. He is clearly a bit too good for this level

Obviously depends on what the lian contract is but yes, sadly, that's likely.

At Brighton's current level I guess he's not going to get in the match squad often. The odd thing is that is that he was in the Championship last season, next door at Blackburn & the second manager didnt fancy him at all. Stepping down to the 3rd Division is quite a surprise.

I'm not concerned

He had a season long loan in the championship last season

And for whatever reason Brighton then let him go to L1 for a season

So if he's playing well and we're challenging I think he'll stay, unless Brighton get a bid too good to turn down

Massive difference between the Prem and L1 and I think it’s like with Paris, possibly not good enough for Brighton’s first team as Paris possibly isn’t for Brentford but all players find a level eventually and ACD’s maybe with us in the Championship if we can get up? As for Mason, if he continues improving and Hull are struggling he may well be recalled back in January but let’s hope not. I’d like to see some of the pressure taken off Burstow by replacing the ten position with the extra striker, probably Forss to add a bit more punch to the attack but that demands Schu changing his system which is questionable from the evidence so far.

BN saying rumours that Sheffield Utd are looking to sign ACD in January.

Don't know how true that is, but we will do well to keep him for the rest of the season if he keeps performing well.

If we are "up there" come the window, and Brighton are willing to sell, then whether we could succeed with an offer, who knows.

He looks capable of playing in the championship, but the article says he happy here, so who knows if we could persuade him to stay.

Could Sheffield Utd outdo us spending wise? Whatever fee they agree, just match it. We'll make it back ten fold.

Yes

They still have Premier League parachute payments and even without that attract much higher revenues than we do. I'm not sure ACD would fancy a permanent move there personally, but as ever, money talks
