We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Given we only have something like 9 contracted players thats not hard though is it?

Just what we need a right back.

2 out of the 9 left in contract are right backs. (Little and Darby)

It’s not so hard to make a case for reducing that number, is it?

ive no issue with little and with hindsight he should probably have played more late last season, but he was got out of jail on the last day

what he was doing for their second, god only knows

Little all day over Micky Flanagan

Flanagan was shite

Really shite

Really shite

Which makes it even more surprising that it's actually less than 4 years since he played for England  :o

It could be that he rocks up at Barca but Samizadeh released

That King has gone.

Some will say he went in January and that's why we didn't win the league

Any decent rumours yet? All seems quiet ?

I’m hearing Paul Gascogne is looking around the place at weekend, potentially a short term fix to cover Mavies injury

Otzumer the Turkish Messi, was good against us for Walsall not sure he’s cut out for championship myself.

Cole Lonsdale or Lonsdale Cole can’t remember which is leaving

Both.

Cole Lonsdale or Lonsdale Cole can’t remember which is leaving

Jeff King & Ryan White already gone.

Last season's U-23 league winners being dismantled already

That King has gone.

Needs regular football that lad to push on. Could be a good one him imo. All the best.

I'm guessing the are no longer U23 but not good enough to play the grown up game. Shit happens.

At let's be honest, this isn't just a new improved revolutionary u23 team, it's one playing at a lower level. Good luck to them all though; hope they have more irons in the fire and don't end up being hairdressers etc like some former pros

Aye good luck to King who seemed to have something about him despite the lower level fwiw thought King Lonsdale & White were our best three against Charlton in the u23 semi.

Wtf do I know!!

Thought the goalie & rb were gash so they will probably be world beaters.

Said it before, but the level your u23’s are playing is very low....so any lad doing well in that team is still miles and miles away from your first team.

Just look at all the prem u23 lads that are struggling in your league, and they are at a much higher level.

Same goes for the managers/coaches of that team.....they cant make that jump to first team managers!!!!

how do the prem u23s do in that checkatrade shit?

how do the prem u23s do in that checkatrade shit?

Well ours beat your first team at the macron.

And chelsea semi final.

Many of those teams are u18s rather than full u23 lads.

The best ones are out on loan also.

But i recon 90% of ours wont play reg prem footy.

Hardly first team

Well yes, same for many of the u23 prem teams in it. That was not evertons first u23 team that beat you.

But thats irelivant. I think more of that bolton team that game will have better footy careers than many of that Everton team.

Point is even at the higher level of prem u23....many are still not good enough for championship footy, so to expect your u23 lads is very unrealistic.
