Is there a reason people are getting overly excited about this Oztumer bloke? He's 27 and never played higher than league one. That tells me he's probably pretty shit, folk on Twitter are going on like he's a world beater

He had a tremendous game & scored a good goal against us in Div 1, was selected for the league team, apparently, practically kept Walsall up single handedly & crucially, is free.

There's a risk about him, having not played at a higher level, but for the position of midfield playmaker that we're screaming out for, & in our financial position, it's hard to see us getting anyone better. I'd be chuffed if we got him.

& he'd be worth signing just for the comedy value of standing him next to Ameobi.

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

according to Nixon :

Bolton. Blackburn. Parkinson wants Danny Graham. But there’s an option in his contract that means Rovers can keep him. And that would mean a fee as well as top wages.

I reckon its because he has an exotic name and he's been labelled the Turkish Messi, some of our fans never cease to amaze me.

So just so I can be sure are we writing off yet another player before we’ve even signed him?

Or are we going to wait to see if we actually sign him first and if we do Then actually give him a chance before we call him shit and boo him every week?

He's played 2 seasons in the Premier Division for Dulwich Hamlet. (That's the Isthmian League Premier Division).

It's more of a case of not spitting our dummy out over not yet signing a player who is unproven at this level. Rather than writing him off.

He has looked a decent footballer on the limited occasions I've seen him.

The club can't afford to put all its eggs in the one basket though.

Positive start to the new season

If someone comes in for Buckley that would be good

I think Buckley could kick on this year.

Would of thought other options rather than graham knocking around

Think he’s 32 or 33

Aye, I’d hope we could do better, particularly if we’re stumping up.

Nobody is writing him off. We are just laughing at the deluded modern football fan twitterati mooning over a player because he's foreign and has scored the odd good league one goal.

The whole reactions to transfers is crazy on both sides.

Fans go on like they know other players inside out. Fwiw I have seen otzumer play twice against us. Jason Lowe probably a similar amount.

The club need to stop their puffery with 'look at the website in 20 minutes' bollocks just announce it when done with a scarf over his head

Jamie Vardy didn't play league football until he was nearly 26.

Not that it means anything, if the player fits, then thats all that matter.

Born in Greenwich.

Not sure about Graham couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo whilst at Sunderland .

We need statto to tell us goals per game ect to mitigate my bias

Surely we need a couple of strikers? Maybe someone like Graham as say a backup for someone like a David mcGoldrick as first choice?

Can I just add one name to this argument pleaee?, Tony Caldwell, signed from Horwich RMI for around £2500 I think in the early '80s and knocked in a shed-load of goals for us in the time that he was with us.

If you’re looking for reassurance I think Vardy shades it.

Which is his level

Which is his level

He scored 14 goals in one premiership season for Swansea having scored 27 championship goals the season before....just saying....

Well I see your Jamie Vardy and raise George Oghani.

He wasn’t older than Yoda then, though.

Remind us of the year that was

And why since then he ended up in league one last season

Just asking like

I don't have any strong opinions on Graham either way, but any championship standard striker can find themselves in div 1 for a season due to being at a club that is relegated. Sharp, ALF, Grigg and Powell at Wigan.
