We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

If we want Parky to play football rather than the hoof then Pratley and Henry aren't the players for that.

For all their graft and hard work the majority of their passes will have been sideways or backwards to the centre half to punt up field.

Not a slight on either player they did a good job in their roles and Henry was the catalyst in solidifying the side after our appalling start.

Not really surprised by releasing Wilbraham.

Pratley, will be a miss, although seems to have been getting a few more injuries.

Henry - few games got an early yellow card and then it stifles his game (eg Barnsley)

Need to follow the City mentality and get in younger lads that will run and run - as well as being able to play a bit !!  Look how many

late goals we let in over the season - was that due to fatigue of older players ??

And you were making sense until this part!?!

I'm guessing the they're still trying to work a contract with the 2 of em.

be happy for morais to stay, shouldn't be too difficult to keep him, he'd probably accept £500 a week

Pay as you play?

£500 a week for the weeks he plays.

International breaks tough.

Should have got in Portugal squad

Thanks to all of them

Hoping we can get in similar quality, but younger

Average wage for a postman that with overtime.

I’ll get my coat.

Happy enough with the decisions made so far

As someone previously stated you cant knock the decisions that have been made since the season has ended.

whens Oztumer done??

Personally i'd have hung onto both Pratley & Henry but am not too concerned that we've chosen not to.

Fingers crossed that means there are new signings almost done in terms of replacements (when contracts are up June 30th).

If we are moving forward only one who could play a part would be Pratley.

Won’t know if a good desicion till see who comes in.

Hopefully it's the start of a new "lets play football" era

Football is changing so hopefully PP is changing with it

Been a great player pratley be sad to see him go

But age is catching up with him now especially at this level

I too liked Pratley. Most of his work was done off the ball. But if we are to move forward then more has to be offered. I'm sure there's a younger model out there with a bit more in the engine. Trouble is finding it.

We had tears in our house this morning.

My lad started coming towards the end of the season and his first game was Wednesday away when AW grabbed an injury time equalizer. The season obviously finished with that header giving him the possibly the best day of his life so far.

Wilbraham was his hero and he's absolutely gutted.

Folk need to stop giving credibility to a couple of dozen spacks on Twitter.

We must be hoping that we have quite a few deals for midfielders sown up.

We badly need some with a physical presence who can win the ball and run.

Before Henry came and when Pratley was injured, we could never win the ball or support the lone attacker.

It seems risky releasing two stalwarts in Henry and Pratley, especially as noted we struggled early doors without Karl.

However, I see it as a good sign that there is the funding and ambition to get better. I am surprised at Pratley as I thought he had one more season in him here.

Perhaps pratley didn’t want a 1 year contract.

Maybe he thinks he can get better wages elsewhere aswell. Particularly as he’s been on a ‘upper championship’ contract for the last few years

Little bit surprised that Pratley wasn’t offered another 1 year deal, but not surprised to see Wilbraham and Henry let go. Got a feeling we are going to get some half decent players in this summer and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chungy back at the club.

My guess is that Pratley wasn't prepared to stay with what we offered him, pretty much same scenario as Spearing the other year, he'll never get another big payday.

Good shout.

My thoughts exactly

I'm loving all the numpty comments on kit teasers along the lines of 'stop talking about the kit and sign some players' as if the social media bods and equipment team have a say in transfer dealings.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chungy back at the club.

Same here, I think he's a free agent now isn't he?
