We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

I just think hes made a poor choice

Id be very surprised if rotherham was his best 'football' option

Absolutely the wrong choice assuming of course wiggin weren’t in the hunt.

Certainly, not going for the size of fanbase, doubt he'd get more money, not going to play in a big stadium, maybe he likes industrial wastelands. Very strange move. It it happens.

Maybe more money, but it's going to be short term. He will move on in a couple of seasons.

Other than that I agree.  I think it's a move sideways to be honest. I would hope our ambitions are higher than theirs.

Aye can't see him fitting in football wise with the chuckle crew. Just lumped it up to that Smith galoot up front didn't they? Actually he's leaving and so has Ladapo and another decent one of thees so they are probably able to offer Fossey a big wage. Not sure they are going to transform into a footballing side under Warne tho.

Short sighted move. Not sure there would’ve been a huge difference in what they are and we were willing/able to pay

if there weren’t “concerns” over his knees I reckon we’d of pushed the boat out a bit more

we’ll be passing each other next season anyway. He’s playing at a higher level for a limited time with them

23 professional appearances at the age of 23 suggests otherwise. He was with us 4 months and injured 2 of em.

Didn't play for Fulham due to injury and barely played as a youth due to injuries.

He probably thinks he has a better chance at getting to the World Cup playing in the second tier than in the third tier.

No bad blood from me, unless he goes to Wiggin.

Hope Rotherham go down though, they think they're quality when they're bang average.

On another note, i know its quality over quantity, this window, but im just starting to get a little niggle we may be looking to ship one out to fund some incomings

Just a hunch

I'd be happy with that - sell 1 to sign 2 improving the overall quality would sit well with me

Not sure who we’re selling who would raise that type of money, I would think only Dapo or Santos would command a decent fee.

As the squad gets better this will probably start to happen, sell someone on for an up grade

Get the feeling with IE that no one is safe from the chop

Everyone has their price and if he could get 2 or 3 in for the price of 1 going out he would I reckon

I hope we switch Rotherham solely for the point we can’t beat em

I thought they were head and shoulders above most teams last season tbf

Seeing as they were 8 ft tall?

Our patched up team round new year gave em a game

Straight back down imo

Not necessarily in the games against us but based on Sky games and Quest highlights

Dapo blazed one over last kick

They’re the Norwich of L1 / Championship - too good for one and not good enough for the other

I reckon that's the most fun you can have as a fan of a non prem mainstay.

Would get boring eventually but it's better than being Rochdale.

Fossey. I would like to have thought, when in a situation like this, you throw everything involved about a career move into the mix and then weigh up the best choice to make. Maybe he has, who know?. But I get the impression that money talks, and for most of us that would be enough to seduce us in to any uncomfortable bed.

It’s a very short career. I don’t blame him if he’s gone for the better paid option; whoever it is…

except Wigan!

It’s refreshing for us that the club are making offers to players which they think they are worth rather than bowing down to the demands.

it’s what got us and many others in the shit in the first place
