We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

We missed out on Tucker, so surely central defender is one of them.

Not sure on the other.

Defensive centre mid and striker for me.

Wonder if we’re playing the long game on Fossey. Seems like Fulham wanted a bidding war for a 23 yo with a handful of L1 apps and dodgy injury record.

Rotherham interest turned out to be a dud. We’ve “moved on”. All gone a bit quiet for him. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him loaned out again. Then we could potentially pick him up on a free next summer or knockdown price in Jan

Barkhuizen offer is still on the table isn’t it

I have a feeling he will get fixed up with a contract before the end of this window.

Rotherham have replaced one big lump in Michael Smith with another big lump in the ex Bolton player Tom Eaves

Chris Eaves was better.

Gez Sithole just signed for the B-Squad

Edited by Breightmet Boy

We've signed someone called Gez Sithole for the B team.

If only there was a pun I could think of for his name?

That is an unfortunate surname lol, up there with Danny Shittu

"The Whites’ new B-team project will now give Sithole (pronounced S-itt-ullay) the platform to develop further as he becomes the sixth external recruit to Matt Craddock’s squad ahead of the new campaign."

I read that, and wondered why we had re-signed the Washing Machine.

Then read it again. d'oh.

If we presume the obvious jokes are told ... he's 19 & has played 22 times already for Gillingham. So there's some sense to the signing.

Whilst on the Gills forum to see what they thought of Sithole  (shouldn't have been released), I notice a thread suggesting we are about to sign a Robbie McKenzie from them.  He's a 23 yr old right back almost 6ft originally from Hull.  Out of contract next week.   They would be due a (small) training fee as he's not 24 until September.

If he makes it could be a some greats songs like

Gez shits on you again

Etc

Gez is a Sithole - I wanna go home

Shame he’s not called Giz rather than Gez

Didn’t Newcastle have a Pistone?

Yep, they were in all the Gents’ toilets.

Big move for him after being injured most of the season.

Could be good or bad for England depending on how much game time he gets

Reckon Rice is the better player, but he'd cost a lot more.

Had a mate once called Patel, he insisted it was pronounced Pay-Tel.

For sure. 43 million is actually a very good deal in todays market for an England international

and rumour is they’re about to sell Jesus for 50 million so they are doing bits once again.

Makes sense if it's true as competition for Bradley with maybe the hope that McKenzie will be good enough to make the position his own once the kid goes back to Liverpool. Some decent pedigree in champ & L1 at only 23... meant to be another one like Iredale who can cover multiple postitions being able to play on the right, CB or DM which looks like Evatt wants versatility to deal with the potential injury crisis we may face along the season to fill gaps. Gills being raided for their better players whilst on the spiral Demps/Tucker/Mckenzie ect would be easy to turn your noses as they had a dire season but they did have a really decent season the prior finishing 10th so must have had some positives about about them amongst the recent abysmal crap that's gone on there. Would deffo put a an end to some fans hopes of Marlon magically appearing here after all what's been put out there if this transfer is true though.

Watched a discussion on united (by united fans actually) sorry but loved seeing them laying their shitshow bare after years of arrogance and entitlement.  The contracts offered to crap like Phil Jones and to 30 odd year old players is crazy. There has been no transfer strategy since Fergie left whereas City & Liverpool have been bob on. The Jesse Lingard farce for example. West Ham offered good money for him last season they turned it down he played in about 10 games this season and then leaves for free!

Pogba wasted £90 million on RE-SIGNING him and he goes for free. Maguire for £80 million Sancho £70 million and no idea how to use him. There are so many you forget

It fair warmed my heart it did.
