Besides, your a hardline Brexiteer, you should be confident that a no deal scenario will see our GDP shoot up next year when we finally go onto WTO terms

What does it matter to you if the Treasury meant immediately after the vote or immediately after leaving the EU

Either way you believe they will be wrong surely

So then, you've admitted you left the particular quote out ?

No wonder NiC always drubs you on links 😆

The report clearly shows immediately after the vote, and once we have left the EU.

Stop being selective and pissy arsed 😉

Assume your meaning this quote...

he said a Leave vote would cause an "immediate and profound" economic shock, with growth between 3% and 6% lower.

If you read the following paragraphs then it’s clear that -3% is based on a deal, -6% based on WTO. They make that absolutely clear

Neither projection was based on 4 and a half years of tariff free trade, free movement and absolutely nothing changing at all with our relationship with the EU

Let’s assume we do go WTO, do you think that will make our economy better or worse in the next couple of years?

Two totally different scenarios and you know they are.

The opening paragraph is solely on immediately after the Leave vote, no matter how much you want to try and dress it up to save face.

It is quite a few paragraphs down the article where the quotes come regarding ONCE WE HAVE LEFT THE EU.

Apologies for spelling it out. No wonder NiC had enough of you  😊

Leaving the European Union would tip the UK into a year-long recession, with up to 820,000 jobs lost within two years, Chancellor George Osborne says.

Publishing Treasury analysis , he said a Leave vote would cause an "immediate and profound" economic shock, with growth between 3% and 6% lower.

First paragraph is solely dedicated to what happens when we leave the EU. The second does state ‘vote’ but given the context of the whole article it’s absolutely clear that they completed 2 models (a deal and a no deal WTO). If people really read that back in 2016 and thought that the projections were based on full access to the EU with nothing changing then they need some new glasses

At the time most people who voted leave were saying that we wouldn’t be economically worse off by leaving and these projections were completely inaccurate

Now it seems that nobody is really questioning the projection of economic pain when we leave the EU and move onto WTO, it’s more about Semantics of when they said the impacts would be felt

Sad really but very few people left in the U.K. who still feel that this will benefit us in the short term

Look, I will humour you for one last time now you sophomaniac.

The article actually quotes 3 things not 2.

1 says WHEN WE VOTE TO LEAVE

The 2 others... different scenarios/shock scenarios regarding once we have left the EU. All in the link if you read closely !

I am merely showing what was said at the time and am not engaging in future predictions as I am not George Osborne.....just merely showing what was said that in response to Farrelli and his broken record too.

Thank you, enjoy your scrutiny of the article and the 3 quotes...have a nice day 😊

May I provide a simple explanation?

I get parts from the Czech Republic. They are not available in the UK and won't be for 3 years even if someone decided to start putting a factory together tomorrow. It doesn't work like that.

So, I must buy from the EU. China and America works out no cheaper.

I am likely to pay more unless the deal we get is tariff free.

If I am paying more, I cannot even attempt to sell my finished product to the EU as it will be more expensive.

Ipso Facto, we need a deal and it needs to be at least the same as what we had.

It's simple economics.

Couldn't you have just sold it earlier?

His vote and work ethos are like his bedroom knowledge mate, clueless, unresearched and premature.

Thinks he is the classic Adonis but turns out to be that bedwetting Lord Adonis.

Lord Adonis and Alistair Campbell, fucking love listening to them, they are both brilliant comedians, it's funny as fuck how they have been on suicide watch for 4 years 😅

I actually see Spider as the new Campbell with his daily bleats 😄
