Anyway, I'm only messing - fingers crossed everything can pretty much stay as it is with regards to trade, if so, then as pointed out above, we all win. If both sides are claiming a win, then it does make you wonder why it's taken +4 years to get to this stage

Yes I did ask you a question to clarify what you meant. 
The reason I asked for clarity was that earlier on the thread it had been discussed we did not know long deals had taken. This was in the context of the UK/EU being the easiest ever. 
You then confirmed that you thought the Uk/jap deal was quicker.

I’m not sure I get the commotion like some would be upset. Everyone will have wanted a deal, even if some thought or may have said it may not be achieved. 
 

I always thought we’d do a deal but feared the worst on the details. The conditions being the most important part of course (unless you’re solely interested in some kind of victory parade die to partisan politics of course 👀)

Whether it’s better than what we had before, nobody knows yet. As someone who has U.K. European and US businesses to run, it’s going to take some time to work out all of the effects but i’m very pleased we have “a” deal.

I use a phrase a lot to the leaders that I work with - “it’s not about being right, it’s about winning”

Let’s hope we all are for 2021 and beyond eh 👍🏻

Great news on the face of it, a deal is infinitely better than no deal, or though no clarity on services which is the majority of our economy

Just having some fun Jules. No deal for me personally would have been catastrophic and me and my team would have been looking over our shoulders waiting for the “chat” at work. 
 

im delighted. Genuine joy that we’ve got a deal done. Will take many years before we know how successful or otherwise this leads us to be.

I missed all the excitement, I’ve just near killed myself cycling 25 mile which is easily longest ride since my op and only had light toastie for breakfast, blood sugar level was through floor when I got home, just had half pack of biscuits and coming round. No. You are making no sense whatsoever. 
 

Have you started on the eggnog early?

The earlier discussion the thread was ‘is the UK/EU deal the quickest easiest ever’. That was prompted by Esco. 
I said given other deals have already been completed probably not. Mounts then said they were continuity deals. Esco rightly pointed out that we actually do not know when negotiations on any deals started. 
You then joined in lauding the UK/Jap deal as an example of how quickly we can do deals on our own. I asked when you thought that negotiation started you said after we left the EU. So given it started after we left the EU and concluded before today’s deal was that deal in fact quicker and easier than the UK/EU deal and you confirmed it was. 
 

All you have done is to confirm that you think that the EU/UK was not in fact the easiest deal ever done. Which is the same view as I expressed at the start of this. 
 

No lies from me and not sure why you are saying that.
