Certain people made their minds up before the deal was announced. Both ways. We now have a deal and that is what we pull together and work on as best we can. There is no other option. Quote

Starmer has piped up. We will accept the deal and vote for it. And we will inherit it in 2024.🤣🤣. He’s fucking deluded. Quote

All Ireland’s key decisions on its constitution are by people’s referendum and up held, not sure what you mean by that? Gay marriages abortion changes etc all by people’s referendum unless you just mean referendums in relation to the EU , which I can see why you’d say it as Ireland voted no once so they changed the words and voted again, even prompted UKIP to sit in Ireland tops waving the Irish flag, a strange sight! We were told none of this was possible by the very same people who have been wrong about everything from day one - remainerdom. I admire Johnson's instincts for keeping the Government out of people's lives and hating having to impose harsh curbs on personal liberty and freedoms. It's a great sign for normal times and a stark contrast to lefties to whom control freakery and finger wagging comes naturally You're right though, the Government's record on COVID is patchy. They (and other Governments) should have shut down international travel in early March. The business with care homes in March was poor and the explanation about not knowing about asymptomatic transmission only partially washes with me. And I was in two minds the whole time about universities and schools returning in Autumn. But there are no perfect answers and its easy to fall in to the trap of being Captain Hindsight Starmer. Winchester White Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Christ, just catching up on here, it went all Twilight Zone for a while! 🤣 A done deal is obviously good news against no deal. The devil will be in the detail and no doubt folk won't like some aspects on both sides but a deal had to be agreed. Quote

Emily Thornbury corresponding with the EU during negotiations. Cant imagine it was telling them to get on with it. Some shenanigans going on whilst trying to get a good deal. I get the impression that Starmer is still balancing between two sets of beliefs, like Corbyn but on a smaller scale. Still a remain mentality there, which needs to change- whether they're in opposition or not. Anyhow, fuck em. The secateurs I'll unwrap in the morning are European made and that's fine by me. Quote
