I'm really enjoying some of the tied dyed blues takong pot shots as their party tries to claw back a semblance of respectable polling figure.

Shows how far behind they have fallen.

As for changing from the leadership campaign, it was all part of the strategy - get in power and then take the first two years changing the party from within. Marginalising the far left, root out the antisemitism, getting back on track as a credible and therefore electable party.

I applaud Starmer and his team for giving me my party back and for giving the country an electable alternative.

As for a credible line of attack, it's dodgy ground for the Tories that one, as they are going to have to convince the public they are not just re-electing the same party, but a brand new version of it - and with many policies in direct conflict with the last three leaders. That in itself is a very glass houses strategy, and easy to pull apart.

Polls you say? I wonder how the attack campaign will affect the next poll.

That’s not a good stat regardless of anyones EU preferences.

Who I work for are putting another increase in and I sadly don’t think it will be the last.

I don't think anyone doubts it was part of the strategy but it does leave him open to reasonable criticism, irrespective of whether it's wise for his political opponents to adopt that line of attack

The post I was replying to suggested it wasn't legitimate

I was simply saying it'd be foolhardy to go down that line.

That's not policy change that is completely contradicting yourself.

That is a policy change.

Funny how all the people on here who 'do not support the Tories' a couple of weeks ago were saying that the fact the Tories have not delivered on their manifesto pledges was all because of a changing world economic environment.

😚

It will always narrow, cocker. There's no way Labour will have this lead when the elections called.

It just ain't quite narrowing enough though.

It's going to be a lovely few months.

Irrelevant mate.

Arachnid made it clear that using worldwide facts and reality isnt acceptable.

The UK is separate from the rest of the world, and has been entirely fucked over because of one thing.

Not the thing that has affected everyone else, irrespective of the political leaning of their individual governments, but the the other thing.

Narrative set, blinkers on.

Have to say that I actually agree with you. As someone with no particular affiliation to any party, if he succeeds in the above they would definitely be more appealing to me

Yet Labour constantly jibed at Boris & Co for being ill prepared. The crazy world in which we live.

Exactly.

An inflation rate of 18.2% is no grounds for celebration just because it's marginally less than the EU average.

Likely. Just watch how quickly the gloss wears off though. It has happened over and over again. Too long in power, let's have a change, fuck me - what have we done?

You could well be right. In fact I’m fairly sure it will go that way. Tories need a complete reshuffle as all trust is broken.

I’ve voted both in my life time but I’ll not touch the conservative till the majority of the idiots involved go. Proper odious.

Bolty fact check (although I've done this one before its worth keep pointing out where he's still wrong)

There is no factual basis to the Labour for one term and back to the Conservatives historically at all.

Sorry to those of the true faith but its another bit of Bolty's fake noooooows.

5 Prime Ministers in 13 years tells you everything you need to know about the current state of the "Conservative Party". Conservative in name only these days.

How long did it take for the gloss to wear off last time? About a decade wasn't it? 😁

Since the second world war there has been one party that failed to win consecutive elections.

Imagine my surprise* at discovering it was in fact the Tories and Bolty is full of shit.

*no surprise whatsoever
