There was embarrassment for Nigel Farage as his idol Donald Trump gave him the cold shoulder after he’d flown all the way to Mar-a-Lago.

Over the weekend, the Reform UK leader flew 4,500 miles across the Atlantic to try and convince President Trump to pull the plug on the UK’s deal with the Chagos Islands.

Except, Farage never got to meet Trump during the visit.

Embarrassing a bit, but not the end of the world, however what the fuck, in all honesty, have the Chagos Islands got to do with Farage? - is he still miffed, because he wasn't allowed to access them when he rocked up unannounced?

Still, as long as he doesn't have to do any constituency stuff, I suppose it's all good.

What has it got to do with you anyway?

Shouldn’t you be griping about whatever your tax dollars are being wasted on in WA?

Ooof.

 "People close to Farage". Aye, reet.

Going off that snippet I would suggest it is Trump's "duty" to try and form a relationship with whatever government is formed here.

Something he has done correctly.

Doesn't mean they can't hate each other of course, but just do what's right.

I had a producer today say to me (he is an old school tory) "are sales down because of the iran thing"

Now, as much as i like to hide behind shit sales, I was like no, people arent buying for a strictly come dancing show because of a war in the middle east in Llandudno 😄

Just getting things done

Nigel Farage: I never said we'd cut. I never said we'd cut.

Reporter: Your leaflet said cut your taxes.

NF: Well, which means don't charge the maximum of 4.99%.

R: Most people would think that would be cutting your taxes.

NF: Never once in the country ever did I say we would cut council tax.

R: Was it a mistake to put it on your leaflet?

NF: I never put it on my leaflet.

R: You did? It said reduce waste and cut your taxes. Those were the words.

NF: Nothing with my name ever went on that.

R: That was on a Reform UK leaflet in Kent at the last elections.

NF: Nothing with my name ever went on that. But what it did say is we'd save money and we are saving money.

So no such claims will appear on your leaflets this year then?

We did not say we would cut tax.

R: “Reduce waste and cut your taxes”. That was on a Reform UK leaflet in Kent.

NF: Well cutting taxes could mean not putting them up as much, I suppose.

He’s losing it like Trump does when caught out.

Coming down the road.

They’ve definitely all got the gout if so.
