Gary Madine wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference to that result tonight.

Do we have to have this bollocks every game?

Playing long balls to a 6ft3 target man would be  more effective than humping it up to 5ft9 Le Fondre.

Despite leaving in January, Madine has scored more goals for us this season than ALF and amoebi have between them

Very very poor tonight. We looked very leggy particularly Ameobi who needs resting for Barnsley. Have to agree with the criticism of Vela though, were effectively playing with 10 men while he's on the pitch. What does he actually bring to the game?

Only positive was Noone who did well and deserves a start on Saturday.

The Aaron wilbraham we have isn't fit to lace madine boots

I would've put him on instead of clough, mind

But that's not the point being made

It's that madine would have made us better tonight and denying it is a little bit silly

You're just being daft

If our only ball is beevers lumping it he'd be our best option on the end of it

I know you know that so why deny it

I'd rather we didn't play that way in the first place.

Playing that way with Madine had us in the bottom 3 all season.

Playing that way without him gets us fuckin nowhere.

We have enough quality not to play that way. We just choose not to.

We start with Wilbraham up top tonight and the place would have been in meltdown.

The aimless hoofs were exactly that. I'd understand the target man theory if we had continuous pin point crosses flying in to the box and nobody getting on the end of em, but Long punts from beevers tonight would've been pointless no matter who was up front.

There's no fucker in midfield that wanted the second ball for a start.

I don’t think anyone could possibly deny that

It’s a “pointless point” though as it doesn’t help us going forwards at all

I still feel that a more poignant question is why was the 9 iron from Beevers our only ball? Understanding and changing that is surely more pivotal to our immediate future

My main concern now is Henry if his injury is bad we are fucked our midfield is shit without him, be interesting to see what team Parky picks on Saturday because those that played tonight don't deserve a place for Saturday I am so bleeding angry with Parky and the talentless shit on the pitch tonight.

There's a lot there but I'm just going to go with I've seen nowt this season to say we have any 'quality'

We fight, we work hard but quality, nay lad

Ameobi and morais can play a bit but beyond that, we are very limited

He also played double the amount of games.

Problem is Beevers game is based on hoofing, he doesn't have the ability to drive out of defence, so he has to hoof, not his fault but it is Parkinson's insistence of playing him when there are better options.

It's not the understanding it for me, it's having something to change it with

Every chance the Germans done for the season and imo that leaves us with about 3 non defenders who aren't shit scared of the ball

And none of them are capable of taking the ball from the centre back

If we stay up it's more dogs of war imo

What options

Wheater would be more of the same

Only other I can think of is Dervite and 8 out of 10 tell me he's shite

I am with you on that we need battlers now we have to grind out results and hope for the best but unfortunately our away form is terrible and I am struggling to see any wins now until the Forest game and that maybe too late.

Our recent away form hasn't been as bad

Granted it's relative!

Was Leeds not first defeat in 4?

It's amazing how a defeat or two can make everyone have VERY short memories.

Dont get me wrong, feel proper deflated but retain a belief this team has fight in it

One us will be right and I know we all hope it's me

Not sure I accept that we don’t have players that can accept the ball from the fullbacks or centre halves. I Thai k it’s more a lack of confidence / accepting the accountability that comes with delivering those balls (from the defenders) and making the movement and being comfortable to give us depth to receive them (from the midfield)

Which is why when we chase the game we do quickly revert to a 4-0-6 formation

For me ultimately that’s the Manager and coaching staff’s responsibility

And they aren’t good enough at it

For now, I agree, dogs of war - let’s just get over that line. And even as abysmal as tonight was, I don’t think there’s a player that shirked on just effort; but that’s not always enough - hence my worry about if we have a win left in us....

Fuck off Snoop, we’ve won about 2 in 50 odd away games at this level or summat

How long a memory is that FFS

Why has Parky gone from 3 centre backs and Robinson and either Little or Flanagan as wing backs

4-4-2 tonight was rubbish

We were back to the 2 centre backs lumping at Ameobie and ALF because we have no creativity in the midfield to make it happen,Vela does his best to link up with the front 2

And btw, Beevers is the most League 1 player I’ve ever seen, I don’t think he’s ever played football with his feet, never seen such an uncomposed player.

Add on top of that, we are playing, Derik, Henry, Vela all down the middle, who can’t pass a ball to save their lives.

Got a very weak spine.

Yes it’s good to have players who can break up the play, but we have no one in that startling 11 who is willing to have the balls to pick the ball up and run at the opposition. I’ve said before, missing Mavies greatly, and have not replaced him for years.
