Fact of the matter is, performance wise & results wise over the course of pretty much a full season we have got exactly the same from 5 months with Madine and 5 months without him. That’s not real

Sunderland were relegated yesterday not us, one win might be enough, two almost certainly would be, whilst it might feel like it we are not down yet, this is Bolton did we ever in a million years expect anything different. Burton is absolutely massive!

We don’t create much. But yesterday there were two balls into the box early on from Morais begging to be scored. Think Pratley missed one of them.

Take the Millwall game, ALF clean through and blew it. These are situations where goals might change games. Thing is our midfield scores nowt, neither do our wingers.

Leeds, Birmingham, Derby, millwall, Barnsley And yesterday and you’ve managed to reference 3 chances across all of those games.

But yes a goal scorer and no doubt selling Madine is our problem. I give up

Nobody shoots from the edge of the box. Hence it’s even tougher to create chances. See where Wolves first goal came from. We had a similar situation but nobody got a shot away.

You simply can’t deny that losing Madine has negatively affected our ability to create chances and score goals. Any team would suggest selling their top scorer.

The way we are playing Tuesdays forest /Barnsley game is as massive as our game v burton. 2 draws might be enough

You reckon Gary Madine would’ve altered yesterday’s result?

We would have won 8-0 obvs.

Maybe we might have scored and that would help goal difference and held ball up better meaning better possession stats and save our players chasing shadows all afternoon, Madine leaving will be major reason for us going down, anyone who thinks differently is a fool.

He's being proved how good he is at Cardiff.

That’s irrelevant.

Don’t particularly want to think about this scenario but if Barnsley only draw 1 or 2 of their games and lose the other, a draw against Forest will be enough for us even if we lose on Saturday but then PNE beat Burton

Your narrative is ‘you end up where you do due to spend’ we’re playing a team next week whose budget is £5m less than ours this season and I have no doubt in my mind they will approach the game more aggressively than us more positively than us and play better football than us. So what’s the defence if they turn us over?

Sick of hearing all these excuses about external factors. Thee fact is the team with or without a bang average striker has not done enough and the manager of them hasn’t done enough. We play atrocious football we don’t create anything we don’t score anything we concede school boy goals and the fight seems to have gone. But that’s everybody else’s fault except the managers and teams. Joke

We were shite before he left.

We’d spent all season in the bottom 3 before he left.

We wouldn’t have scored yesterday with him front.

Wolves are the best team that’s played at the macron in the past 5 seasons. They had to win to win the league, I really don’t get the dramatics about yesterday.

We scored two at Barnsley, we can score two at burton.

Since he left

Sheff weds away - goal behind we start playing football get a point

Birmingham home - start well, go behind, go long get nothing

Millwall home - start well, go behind, go long get nothing

Barnsley away - start atrocious go behind, start playing football get a point

Wolves - start well, go behind, go long get nothing

But yes going long to Madine would’ve sorted all that. The 2 recent games where we’ve got the ball down we’ve got something. Say it again isn’t fucking rocket science

Guilty of throwing the towel in yesterday Bolton, remember when a relegation threatened Bolton side came from 0-2 down to draw with one of Arsenals quality sides? We didnt achieve that by giving up.

Ken would be justified to accuse them of not giving 100% again

I just don't think you get that swapping a 6'4"+ striker for a 5'7" striker but sticking with the same hoof ball tactics is slightly flawed. OK, we may be no better off with Madine but we'd have a better hope of converting some of those hoofs into goals with the taller guy.

As an aside, if we're insisting on lumping it up-field, how about we try aiming more towards the corners rather than straight into the arms of the opposition keeper? It may go out for a throw but it'll be far enough up the pitch to cause them more problems than it causes us.

It’s one extreme to the other with Parkinson same happened last season at one point I feared slipping out of play offs but credit due he turned it around

Looking back we rode our luck massively this season especially with some home performances But we kept going digging in throwing bodies all over

We need 2 more big performances which we have done and capable of doing but is this team and the management at the moment up for it?

I get it completely my argument is the same as yours..

But others, rather than concede we are still playing the same way claim mitigating circumstances like the CB’s come under too much pressure or we should never have sold him. There’s obviously no other option

For some reason there seems to be this, if we stay up he and the players deserve a lot of credit. But if we go down, he should be immune from criticism because of what’s gone on at the club, view

Can’t have it both ways

You reckon Gary Madine would’ve altered yesterday’s result?

No, but I can think of a few games he definitely would have helped. It’s margins isn’t it. Few points here and there would have made a massive difference.

When he went we tightened up at the back and the results were ok even though we scored less. However now we are conceding goals freely whilst also being unable to score goals. Forget Madine staying. But having a replacement would have been hugely helpful too. Because as it is we have no real options up front and when you can’t break Birmingham down at home it shows.

Which I get however the point still remains why not try another way? In that game in particular he brought a winger on moved Ameobi up top and Clough on the left. Playing 10 men you keep the ball moving, Work them across the pitch and create openings. We went Front - back for 45 minutes!

And that happens pretty much every week so that game wasn’t an isolated example

We would not be in this position with GM.

Anyone who thinks we would have only got 1 point from 6 (not difficult) games with him is lacking in brain capacity.

That’s what happens when a business man is the owner.

KA doesn’t give a fcuk, it’s all about the bottom line.

If we go down I very much doubt we will come back either.

Some good aways mind.

But with forest a potential decider the decision to charge them prices is scandalous and one which will back fire if he comes out pleading for loud and proud shite

We’re not good enough to open teams up like that. Few teams at this level are. We tried it a lot vs Brum and even yesterday. It’s not what we are good at.

Gary Madine could have done his cruciate in August, where would we have been then?

If your whole playing style is built around 1 player, then you're fecked if he gets injured, loses form or gets sold.

I appreciate he's not had much to spend or work with, but contracts to Darby, Noone and to a lesser extent, Buckley, could have gone towards another striker or centre mid
