Love it; first non top four team shirt I've seen in St Ives Bay is a Wanderers shirt; greeted with the obligatory COYWM!

And another on the beach!!

I've heard Frankfurt and Cologne are good (think you've just been there though? So maybe not.) Actually didn't rate Berlin's so much to be honest, but it was about -10. Munich's were decent, but again deathly cold.

I feel like we're a bit spoilt by Manchester's actually, I know it's rammed nowadays beyond any hope of joy, but it's huge and has a bit of everything so it might be a case of getting to one in Europe and just feeling a bit "Oh."

went to Bruge / Ghent at Christmas time, but not for the markets, they just happened to also be there

thought Bruge's was shit in the same way the Manchester ones are shit

Ghent town centre def has a more christmassy feel to it, but not worth going their just for that

in any case, you spend most of your time getting pissed in bars on strong beer anyway

so find somewhere nice that also happens to have a market, but don't expect much from the market, hour tops, then fuck it off

Sheffield?

sheffield tap can be fucked off in about 10 seconds

Been here a few times mate and mentioned it before on here.

It’s absolutely magical at Christmas. Stunning place and very classy compared to the average Christmas Market.

Not long now , day out in Preston . Then heading to Carihuela , for 7 nights of chilling in tapas bars and mooching round Benalmadina.

May even bump into Bolty if he is on a business trip.

Just done Legoland, Chessington and Thorpe Park then a couple of days in London to do Shrek and London Eye. We have Merlin passes but fucking hell food and drinks plus the usual stuff is bloody expensive down there.

Fucking hell man... I did £750 on two days at Legoland so fuck knows how much you've gone through.

£9 bastard 20p for a large glass of red in the hotel.

Loved it though!

Legoland was 400 quid for one twatting night so the little un could have a pirate themed bedroom...

But Chessington was a Premier Inn right next to the park so was really quite cheap. Thorpe does the Shark hotel which is cheap too but tiny rooms. Good thing is hotel guests get an hours fast pass each morning you stay so you can get on all the best rides no problem, worth it just for that. London was Premier Inn again next to London Eye so parking was expensive but hotel cheap for London. Premier Inn do a dinner and breakfast deal which is good value to keep costs down.

Had enough of theme parks now...

Currently in palma nova.

Belting little place.

Gone self catering for the first time with the kids in tow and don’t think I’ll ever go all inclusive in Spain/canaries ever again.

Obviously it’s a must in other places, but this gaff has been ace. Not had a bad meal out yet.

Went to the pirate show thing last night which was brilliant, had a wander back through Magaluf strip on the way back. Good lord I’m glad I’m old :D

Went to Palma Nova last October, bloody loved it. Stayed at one of the 4 star places at Torrenova so smack bang between Palma Nova and Magaluf. Went all inclusive but ended up spending bugger all time at the actual hotel other than breakfast and the odd evening meal. Nice hotel but soured a little that it was outside of school holidays so the kids in the hotel were the spawn of Satan (not of East Midlands fame) because their parents weren’t arsed about taking them out of school.

Was an international weekend so had a great craic whenever there was a game on. Will definitely be going back there at some point.

Only had one night down the strip though not a late one. Folk pushing kids in prams down the strip while there’s people doing shots in their eyeballs. Fucking bizarre.

On all inclusive in Golden Sands at the minute. We’ve always sworn by AI just in drinks and breakfast, but out of six mornings so far we’ve only been up for breakfast twice. Still worth it in drinks though, especially as the outside bars are a lot more party orientated than expected so we’ve generally been going out for tea (most expensive meal £60 for three of us and included a T-bone steak!) then coming back to the hotel. Only a finite number of restaurants though so we’ve been glad to have the option of eating at the hotel which has been really good to be fair.

Like u, I felt very very old.

I went to the Pirate show 30 years ago whilst on a lads holiday in Magaluf, I'm starting to feel old

Haha they have an over 18’s thing later on done by the same dancers.

Our peg had a bigger wide on than when she had our second child before we left.

I think she’d have turned inside out if we’d stayed on for the x rated number :D

All I remember from the Pirates show 12 years ago (bloody hell, longer than I thought) was only liking sangria on the third jug of it, chicken in a basket and for some reason we were encouraged to chant ‘you French wanker’ at one of the characters.

Majorca Alcudia to be precise for me In 5 weeks with the missus. Just been told she’s expecting as well so I hope there’s plenty of bars for me to sit and watch copious amounts of football and drink whilst she’s on the juice
