Turkey is a fair shout mate, we have been a few times before and there are some really good hotels for much cheaper than Europe. Just fancied a change really and somewhere not completely overrun with russians, they are the most obnoxious rude fuckers I have ever met. The women are very nice to look at round the pool though... Just want a decent AI hotel with nice enough food for us and a couple of water slides for the lads and we will be happy. We went to the Holiday Village in Turkey for a cheeky week last October half term, the hotel was nice if a little tired however some of the folk there were right skutters. There was one girl, maybe late teens as she was with a large group of families from the north east who insisted on wearing thong and g-string bikinis despite being massively overweight. It wasn't pretty. There was also a large group from Wigan who reserved a whole side of loungers on side of the shallow pool every morning then got arseholed whilst their fat kids pissed everyone off with their water guns or constant crying because their parents couldn't be arsed with them. Been to a few HV's and never had the same problem, probably because the others cost a fucking fortune.

wanderer1984
Just spent the last 2 weeks in Italy. Mrs and my 10 year old. Hired a car from Rome and drove to Florence where we spent the night in a AirB&B. Fantastic city. Next day Lake Garda (peschiera) for 5 days. We booked through EuroCamp and the site is situated on the edge of the lake, views are stunning. Caught a train to Venice for the day, probably the best place I've ever visited. Next stop Rome for a week, stayed in another EuroCamp on the outskirts of the city. Dropped the car back and used the metro whilst there. Best holiday I've ever had, so much to see and do all at a fair price. Weather was great for this time of year too. Definitely go back. TIA I hear there’s a belting baking scene and then there's the annual interracial flip flops and scooter rally which I believe is a must. Talks this year include ‘Ho Chi Psudeominh - what’s in a name?’ And ‘It’s common sense, innit? - How to be an expert on absolutely everything’ with special screenings of some recently discovered episodes of Love Thy Neighbour where no one takes offence but everyone has a bloody good laugh. Absolutely stunning and airlie is decent too for a few beers and food afterwards
roundthecorner
I'm having a wedding in a couple of months and I'm going to throw a hen party that's my main holiday this year. I'm thinking about silent disco hire, that a party where you dance to the music in your headphones. I'd also like to secretly record a video of it, must look hillarious

Smiley
Did a Eurocamp holiday a couple of weeks back. In the Dordogne. Jet2 flights to Bergerac. Hire car. Lodge. Site at St. Avit was fantastic. Ate loads of French bread, drank lots of wine, fired up the BBQ a good few times and generally had a great "outdoors" type holiday. Visited some historic places like Sarlat and La Roque Gageac, did a canoe trip along the river from Vitrac to just past Beynac and managed a rainy day at the aquarium in Le Bugue. We totted up the spend to compare against a "regular" holiday. Came in around £459 each for 4 of us. Definitely a few areas we could have squeezed the budget much tighter now that we've experienced it. Overall, probably enjoyed as much as an all-inclusive trip. And can highly recommend it to folk with toddlers. Or teenagers looking for adventure and sunshine.

That said, New York is generally expensive. Watch out for the chlorinated chicken. I may have had some earlier, but currently ok
