It’s vast mate. You need a gameplan sorting before you go. Everything is easy to get to but it’s fookin huge.

Alenderplatz is like a big square with a shopping centre and bars and restaurants on the periphery.

There’s decent clubs and bars out towards friedrichshain where’ll you’ll find the watergate club and similar , you’ll like them :)

Everything is a tram ride away pal, but have a plan in place 👍🏻

Tiergarden has nudist areas in the day

.How the fuck did you lot miss that :D

I went watching England about 10 year ago

Only me that wasn't keen on the place

I’ve never been but as Gonzo alludes to, the size of it and fannying about on trams really puts me off.

Dont know many people who rave about it. Doubt I will get there any time soon

Has anyone got any car hire recommendations for the US? Need to hire an SUV with space for 5 Adults and 4 cases for 3 days whilst in Boston in late August

We’ve used  “US car hire” website with Alamo for this year and 2 of the last 3 for Florida

Can't remember who we used, maybe avis

Anyway

Tip

We selected our drop off time as 1pm Sunday

We got there at 12.55 and turns out they closed at one and they were shutting up and initially refused to take the car back as they all wanted to fuck off home and not deal with the paperwork and checks and all that

Got a bit heated trying to point out you can't offer a drop off time if it's out of hours

Eventually one of them backed down and sorted it but fuck me it was hard work

So make sure the office is meant to open when you set a time to return the car by

Alamo offered us first class service in the Dordogne last month. Cannot fault them. Had so many issues with cheaper hire companies over the years. (Goldcar - avoid like the clap).

Not strictly holiday but I'm going to Sao Paolo on Sunday for work. I can probably get back into the city at the weekend. Any ideas how easy / hard it is to get a ticket to the footy? I'm thinking Sao Paolo vs Santos on Saturday 10th, 9pm...

Indeed, although it was over 10 years ago now. I ended up getting the tickets through the hotel, at inflated prices - as they sorted the taxi from the hotel too. That was at the Maracana in Rio. I searched online too, but back in the day online sales weren’t as prevalent. The closest I got was emailing a local football blogger who offered to help sort tickets, but in the end he wasn’t around for that game.

I’d suggest looking at ticket re-sale websites if you want to sort before you go. A quick glance suggests you should be able to get them at stubhub / viagogo. Unless I’m misreading it, you can get a VIP ticket (food and drink) for less than £60 if you want to do it in style. Otherwise, see what else you can see online or speak to the hotel when you’re over there any they may be able to tell you how to get some cheaper standard tickets.

Someone else may have some more recent experience.

If you are at. Decent hotel they will sort it for you. Pretty helpful the Brazilians. The metro isn’t as bad as they say either
