A Derby winner still in training over fences at the age of 42, ridden by an 85yo amateur jockey who’s yet to ride under rules? I just don’t see it.

I dont think for a minute theres a sale in the offing

Some investment, definitely maybe

That’s what I heard but the circles Kenyon moves in and with his past history , would not surprise me if he was introducing potential buyers. That’s how he would make good money not just finding additional finance.

Talk of a Director of football being appointed  (firth on twitter put the name Tobias Phoenix out there)  Could of course be complete bollocks .

Kenyon was rumoured to be trying to buy the club back in March

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/8568469/man-utd-chelsea-kenyon-bolton-newcastle/

I don’t see a takeover happening - who wants to buy a L2 team under a transfer embargo.

Dont see much in terms of investment either for the reasons above.

Bit of a strange one. Maybe a connection with a football agent/linkup with another club to bring in players on loan for nowt like Watford did with the Italians

We're still under an embargo for quite sometime and our hands are tied, can't see what Kenyon could bring to the table at this moment in time.

Are funds needed to pay the administrators

You know what this means

the return of custard.  Mark my words the word takeover is like blood in the water he will be back analyzing the balance sheet in short order

No way Kenyon would show his face in Eccles.....

Aaargh,  don’t remind me of that fucker!

Interesting slant on it, especially as I doubt it'd be much to do with incoming transfers in our current situation.

If it's the case that we end up going through another takeover I think I'll take a couple of months off here for the sake of my mental health.

In the words of that fat batloaf fucker.

"You took the words right out of my mouth" cant take anymore of them accountant types on here.....

Sounds like a Harry Potter character.

Tobias Phoenix is the DOF at Macclesfield

That has to be a fake name.

Not hard to write the headlines if he oversees our resurgence, is it?

Think you are probably correct

Would expect managerial casualties as a consequence

One other area where Kenyons knowledge and contacts might be useful and where there might be significant investment and which needs a complete overhaul is the Academy

If the long term objective is to bring through home grown talent that can break into the first team on a regular basis , then it needs better quality coaching staff in order to attract a better quality of youngster.

Here's what Iles had to say about Kenyon's role.

He's here on a consultancy level at the moment and helping Football Ventures put together their longer-term plan for the club which - at first listen today - sounds pretty good.

What does Kenyon get out of all this?

Darcy & Politic secured to an agency he’s involved in is my guess
