The Owners

Deatils of the new owners/lenders to Football Ventures starting to emerge on Companies House website this morning..

The model appears to be up to half a dozen people putting money in.  It feels more stable to me than being in hock to one person.  If one drops out it should be easier to find another one willing to put in a few million rather than buying a whole club.

A Derby winner still in training over fences at the age of 42, ridden by an 85yo amateur jockey who’s yet to ride under rules? I just don’t see it.

Aye, used to be called Mike White.

That’s before his corporate visits to the Theatre of Shite.

Mr Pink is interesting given his role in delivering increased ST & crowds, hope he can also help bring some ideas on how to make our ground as noisy as Selhurst park is these days, their support has been completely revolutionised and must be one of the loudest in the premier league these days.

Can't see an Ultras group quite catching on the same with us tbf

Interesting one, get rid of the steroid heed stewards and you've got a chance. Only been saying this for 20 years +.

Actually disagree. Enough youngens in place to go alone now. Crazy corner is pretty much set up to deliver this type of discipline.

Not my bag but I’m not in there. Think plenty would get on it.

Did we have no staff last season? We seem to have made quite a few appointments this season.

It seems like that doesn't it.

Maybe explains why Andrew Gartside couldn't keep on going.

There was a bloke in the crowd at palace with a loud speaker mega phone thing

Sounds like a job for @Traf

Shouting ‘sit down you dick heads’ will get it bouncing. Sounds a great idea. Meldrew can be his back up

Good.  QuickQuid was a particular low for our club (I know it wasn't a gambling firm).

At least they're open about their feelings and intentions.

Obviously some will he disappointed, but as a non betting person, I doesn't matter to me either way.

It’s gonna get binned off shirt sponsors soon as well

Golden gamble is now the golden goal and its loads better.

Guy behind me on Saturday was 3 seconds out. He spent all the first half after the goal thinking he'd won a grand! 🤣

Spoke to Mike Pink after the game too. He gets that the whole experience isn't just the match. I reckon we'll start to see some decent changes for the match day experience across the board.

Well overdue after the last owner.

Not the Zorbs (or whatever they were).

Do we know if Mr. Pink likes a drink? Might a new beer offer be on the cards?

Those zorbs were OK for a bit of a laugh at half time.

Good. Take a look at football ... grounds, shirt sponsors, tv adverts. They must be 80% gambling. We should avoid being in any way dependent as they're going to be squeezed out. No bad thing in my sanctimonious view.

They were often the highlight of the afternoon.
